Happy Monday, denizens of SM. That was a good weekend but at least one day too short. Finished painting the most pita end of the house, which was a blessed relief. Cleaned most of the patio, which was filthy. Turns out that underneath all the dirt it's quite a nice brick colour. Whould've thought. Also bought a chuffing great tall bamboo thing (how the hull it fitted in a Fiat 500 I'll never know. Must bend well (that bamboo, not the Fiat)), which is now waving its arms in the air like it's at a rave and triggering the security light every 5 minutes.

And now to work. Again. Still, it's invoicing week, which always feels good, and also the first week in about six months when I'll pay myself one of those 'salary' things. Fun.

Morning all. Takes time, doesn't it @Andyk We've been in for 10 years and still haven't finished the first round.

Main bathroom in the Autumn, I hope. Then just the final stairs and the en-suite. Then start decorating again :D

That London today for some 'meetings' I think they're called. Can't see it catching on.

Have a good one, all

Morning Gents.
@Andyk why do you have to get the Squire around for a new bathroom ?
Old traditions in Chepstow ?
Finally got the contractor i want to do my workshop floor and the date is set in June and I'm very excited child-like at Christmas Ms French would say.
Crazy really as i could by a nice car but this will mean more projects on the go.

Morning all. Just finalising the purchase of the QPV upgrade. Not helped by Admiral having a bad day yesterday and being unable to handle business online or by phone. Still seems to be a problem this morning.

Morning all, stoped off at Chelmsford on the way back yesterday to look at a car for Alex’s one of his workmates was selling and he has now bought; a 2003 Porsche Baxter in a dark silver. This adds to his collection of Vauxhall Adam and VW T2 camper but suits his run to work on the A12 each day.

I’m off to Hackney today to do some repairs.

Have fun all...

Newton did you fit in the Boxster okay being tall and broad mate ?
@2b1ask1

I didn’t even sit in it, I was there to check the mechanics and bodywork, not that there is a lot to check on them, it has a shockingly bad paint job on the bumpers (looks like rattle cans) but otherwise a very straight car. At £6.5k it is a lot of car for the money.

It certainly does especially on the older houses. Will need to start on the garden next...New patio, some kind of seating area at the bottom of the garden maybe.

Today i have decided to give the Boxster a deep clean as i have the Control Technique in a couple of weeks and the guy I use likes my cars.
Getting the exhaust off was a pitta but it's off and i have started cleaning.View attachment 84774

Rads and air con heat exchanger at the front is the killer on those. They get full of **** and corrode.
