Morning everyone. Bit of office for me, but it's still a national holiday. Well, last weeks everything feels like holiday here, the roads, the stores, everything. It won't be too long, hopefully.
Take care all.

Pretty sure if I saw a tube packed like they seem to be I would turn round and find another way
A sign nobody is taking it seriously , I'm still reading , it's not as bad as they're making out posts on facebook.
Spanish flu in 1918 killed millions , communication and medicine have moved on since then but stupidity seems to have negated the advances in technology .
We'll be shut in our houses soon I feel

Morning all. Bit of work this morning and then out on my bike this afternoon.
Same as yesterday really. However, I chose my route to ensure I would be away from the beaten track and the likelihood of seeing anyone was minimal.
However, when I went through Hythe at the end of my ride, it was like a normal Saturday afternoon!!!:mad::mad:

A high proportion of the residents of Hythe are 60+ so they will be the ones in trouble if they get it.
But there were so many people flouting the rules.

To be fair Mark here in France you would be arrested.
No cycling allowed mate.
I get that and am prepared for the (have Zwift in the garage) however, I saw two cyclists who had stopped at Waitress for something to eat and drink.
There they were sitting outside with shoppers and other people 'exercising' walking passed!

They're the ones who will mean that we get a France/Italy/Spain type lock down.

I think the Government have implemented things as they have in order that people use a bit of common sense. However, that has been sadly lacking in people of the UK for years now!
I won't even start on about the 6-7 boys playing football on a field I passed.

The world was different then. Now, we have encroached heavily on animal habitats so the zoonotic transfer of diseases is much more likely in the first place. To compound that, we're a far more populous planet with far more travel so those diseases then spread far more quickly. My point is, we live on a planet on which viruses can run amok so much more successfully even compared to the devastation of Spanish flu.

I hope you're wrong about an even more aggressive lockdown. Around here things are fine and people appear to be doing the right things, but to be frank our population density out in the wilds of East Anglia is pretty light.

Keep up the Good Work you Key Workers.
Let's hope the foolish ones start abiding by the rules.

It's never been noisy unless something on at the Stadium the other side of the river.

Morning. Heading out for a early walk with Mrs C then, clearly, WFH

Virtual leaving drinks from Experian this evening. Well the drinks and the leaving will be real. The get together will clearly be virtual!

Have a good day, stay safe all

Morning all, another day of staying within the guidelines; three sites to close and pop on pre-made nets on. Last day with Christine with me, she is fantastic.

Have fun al....

Morning, all Same as Mark. Along with lots of explanatory notes and probably some graphs for the hard of thinking.

And a shite load of disclaimers, caveats, exclusions, swerves, distractions and squirrels, to draw the eye away from anything unhelpful.

Morning all. More WFH and then maybe a bike ride this afternoon.

Was listening to the radio this morning and there seems to be traffic jams all over the country. How can that be if we're supposed to be in lock down.

Exactly how many key workers are there?
