Good afternoon, been out for a long walk, 5 miles or so, basically we got lost! It was a bit cold too. The WEC racing at Spa was snowed off. It's bleeding May!

The Red Bull Vantage is stupidly priced. Lovely, but a vast mark-up for some cosmetics. Oddly, Bristol had two in when I was looking 18 months ago. The DBS I sent you is the AM Cambridge-commissioned DBS59, a limited run special celebrating Aston’s win at Le Mans in 1959. They’ll be handed over to their new owners at the circuit at the start of this year’s race. Look it up and see the interior. It’s wonderful.

Morning, all. Quiet day here likely to be determined by the weather.
Yes, agreed, and powder blue is a gorgeous colour. There’s one on AutoTrader. It’s a colour sensitive car for sure. The updates are bound to include vents to break up the expanse of bonnet and, eventually, a convertible. In powder blue, that could be stunning.

Yes agree some colours suit it more than others. I see they have added bonnet vents to the option list. Carbon or black....Only small on each side not in the vein of the V12 Vantage.

Good day, tourist in London for 2 days . Hopped of bus for a quick Guiness in Punch and Judy as you do. Any recommendations for a show. Wife wants to do one. Not really my thing, but I'll defer for a quiet life.

Bat out of H3ll, Dave. At the Dominion. Just brilliant, once you're through the first 5 minutes, which is weird and a bit ****.

Rain's starting here again so I'm off to the Aston Martin website to configurate some cars I have no intention of buying. It's that or do some decorating, and I ******* hate decorating.

@Andyk, it's amazing how fast you can configure up to £150k or so. Looks nice, but not £50k nicer than mine.

Decorating complete, hung and fettled three venetian blinds in the front bay; we have been here over 30 years and have tried every configuration of curtains and ont one has worked well. The blinds seem to have cracked it, just not sure how long they will last. The furniture gas also been put back in the kitchen and dining rooms we decorated yesterday. Just a stop gap as I’ll be building the new kitchen soon I hope.

I struggled to get my head around the price of the new Vantage as well Adam, but then when you look at the raw figures they are a different car to the old Vantage with performance figures in the V12 territory so then it makes more sense. Good news with the Vantage is its still in a tight little body like the last one. Yep that's the one.........I would probably go China grey with yellow accents with black alcantara with yellow stitching inside or White with red accents, black alcantara, red leather inside. Only seen one with the accent pack in the flesh and that was at Dick Lovett at the weekend. Blue with orange...

Morning all, End Game was brilliant yesterday. Enjoyed it and it didn't feel like a 3 hour film which is always a good thing as it shows that you enjoyed it.

Good morning all, Jeanette has gone to collect my mother from Buxton to stay with us for a week, the main gust being my younger daughter’s final uni show in London on Friday.

I need to spend the day getting the GS ready for North Weald tomorrow, which will include getting it off the lift, checking wheel nut torques and loading in my winter rears as I have no intention of driving it home on the old Vreds on the back, unfortunately Michelin’s are not available for it until later this week.

Have fun all...

Took my 9 year old son to my local club yesterday. He's a bit too small for clays at the moment but he fired my 22 Browning SA for the first time, and did rather well! Can remember shooting the same rifle myself with my father for the first time at about the same age, the rifle itself being 50 years old! You can still buy new today, being in production since 1914, quite amazing really.

Hello everyone.
Late morning and a long breakfast. Today should be a pleasant bank holiday of aimless wandering.
HapPea Monday!

that's great, get him a 20 gauge when a tad older, was trying to get my daughters in to "down the line" but not their thing and probably a good thing as well because it can soon start burning a hole in your pocket;)
