You not awake yet Tess....posting in the Good EVENING thread, you must have been with me at that Northern lash up all weekend and I am functioning to a similar level at present.
 
Apparently this is the official good evening thread, even though it's been dead 10 years.

Happy bloody New Year to the best forum I know. It's not just the cars. It's the prostrates, the weight loss, the drinks, the trips, the insults, the good mornings, the 'We hope you're OK', the '**** that sucks', the losses, the gains, the triumphs and disasters (and can we treat those two imposters just the same?) It's a thousand things, ten thousand posts, the private messages, the support and the shared losses,

On a slightly different note, Mrs C's psychotic cat is due at the vet's tomorrow to get his teeth sorted. After the last visit, which resulted in blood (mine) being shed, they have prescribed *more* drugs, and to be administered both in the evening and in the morning.

Annnnnnd again he's wandering around the house out of his *very very* tiny mind. I bet it won't last, but at least I should get an un-interrupted night's sleep....

Mrs C is picking him up as we speak. He's got to go back in a few weeks to have 6(!) teeth extracted. Sadly this does not surprise me, and I do feel guilty but there is soooo much pain getting him to go.

However he's up to date on his jabs, his worming and we've got bloods taken to try and find out why he's had basically diarrhoea for the entire time he's lived with us. It will in the end, be better for him, if not our insurance policy and bank balance.

He was a little more feisty this morning, but massively calm for him which is good. We've always been very happy with our vet, even though they are a franchise, they don't act like it. They seem to listen to the owners. Their new surgery is fabulous, and has an isolated cat waiting area and consulting room. The vet himself called me this afternoon to tell me he was out of surgery, but he wasn't going to give me a discharge time until they saw how he was recovering. Which I think is most of what you can ask.
