Morning guys

Off to collect the Quattroporte GTS soon, my first Maserati! Not even a tube strike can spoil the day, cab booked, organise the missus for a 10 am departure, happy days.

Will post photos soon.

Have a great day......

.....why, did it break down on the way home?!

I got 100yds before dropping it into neutral for a set of lights. And then sat there like a stereotype with the hazards on as I tried every bloody thing to get it in first.

North London. Friday rush hour.

No I won't forget it too soon :)

After i picked up mine i had a weekend of bliss. Motorway runs, country roads. people stopping and looking everywhere. The following weekend it rained and the window control unit decided to fail with the drivers window half down. All fun and games! Getting sorted now so hopefully can return to what it was like the weekend before! :)

I decided to check the oil level on mine halfway home and couldn't open the bonnet! Cable failed!

They don't get under your skin if these things don't happen! Efficiency is so boring.

I had a flashing oil pressure light. I sprayed some WD40 on the oil sender connections and (touch wood) I've never had the issue since.

That's funny - I had a flashing engine oil light in a previous car. I took the engine out, rebuilt it and the light went out :frusty5:

Sure you did the right thing. The oil senders on the 4200 are known as a weak part that often give faulty readings. The connections were mucky and dry on mine.
