The "carbon spoiler project"

Dear forum, my dream for my 4200 has always been to find a carbon spoiler for the rear.Unfortunately, it's price is huge, so, due to the fact that i could not wait, i decided to buy a used standard spoiler. While the item was on the way to my home, i had the idea of putting a carbon folie on the spoiler, which would look like the original one, and would not look like a cheap solution.
Spoiler is here, tomorrow i'm going to put the folie, and later on i will install it.
Does anyone know the installing procedure, or any tips for this?
My colour is blue mediteraneo, and i feel that the black(carbon) edge rear will make it very beautiful. But of course if it lloks like s@@t, i'll paint it to the original body colour.
pictures to come!Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Nikos, The carbon wraps tend to be quite matt. You may need to put a couple of coats of lacquer on as well.

Don't forget to take photo's? Would be great to see how it looks.

Cheers, Miles.

Here's a couple of pics of two Med Blue cars that ADG have previously sold - one with CF, one without...

Sorry Mr Cambio, I prefer the body colour spoiler. I can see why you might want to change it and I am sure some will like it, but as you asked for opinions I feel obliged to give you mine. However, the rest of the car looks great!

I think it's nice as quality, but it's too sporty for this specific model, as i feel the 4200 is more classic-oriented.. My thought is to keep it for one month and then decide if i turn it to the blue med..

Hi Nikos,

I like it a lot!

Is this a factory spoiler or the one available on eBay? I have used the same carbon wrap inside my car so it would be great if you could post more photos particularly of the fit between the spoiler and the bootlid as I am looking to do this on my car.

Nice job...

Good morning, kalo pasxa/Happy Easter to all! Thanks for your feedback!Neil, it's the original standard spoiler, that i covered with carbon folie.Unfortunately, i did not make pictures while installing, but the tip is to drill on the very edge of the boot. The second tip is that the left and right edge of the spoiler will guide you on which height it should be put.
If you need any help, fell free to contact me!
What about you dem?You know more greek words than the average kalimera/kalinixta...What's going on??

Niko xronia polla!

You might want to consider that look of carbon deteriorates over time with consistent exposure to the sun, been that there is quite a lot of it in Greece! As an option you might like to paint it over and let the word 'MASERATI" like the rear logo show through the carbon. Ducats do this on some fearings and it looks great!

I'm in Athens today on the way back to England. sorry indidnt manage to meet up for a kafe but celebrations got the better of me.... My head hurts.....
