Stradale on the Dynometer

For my entertainment, and yours I imagine, I plan to take the Stradale for a dyno session. I obviously have too much time on my hands.

It will be done hopefully within the next month, I have two options: a Mustang (owned by my buddy with a 997 GT3) and a Dynomite. Apparently the mustang reads about 10 to 15% lower than the dynomite, but is more accurate, as it has two resistance wheels (the others only one).

Any forum members with dynometer experience? I am wondering several things, like: will I destroy the strad? is there any 'technique' to obtaining good figures? how will I cope with disappointments?

I had both my TVRs on. You normally stand and watch. They should know what they are doing. I found it quite entertaining, the cerebra was down on power due to a blocked cat, and the Tuscan was spot on. Just make sure car is healthy and all will be fine. I have a video of mine .

Looks good, just remember they are very subjective no two give exactly the same readings, use for comparison purposes. I enjoyed mine as it was part of a group so could compare against Porsches and the like.

I'd be happy with that from the stradale!! Is that rear wheel or calculated crankshaft HP? What fudge-factor do they use?

^^ I think they use some fudge factor, or guesstimate, to assume an average powertrain loss?

Agreed, but that's not *measured* at the flywheel, no?

That's what I was saying earlier, they are only really good for comparisons, as they do not "measure" as we know it. So if you have your car read, then modify it, you should use the same dyno to check performance gains, or otherwise.

No argument from me

I wonder what the drive train loss would be for the Stradale F1 box? Same or similar to a 430 and 599 I guess? Any ideas?
