Spacesaver request

A while back a member on here offered to lend a spacsaver wheel for a forum trip. Does this ring any bells?

We are off to Le Mans in a few months and we have about 10 3200/4200 and the odd are someone will get a puncture.

Can anyone with a spacesaver wheel offer to lend us one?

A few years back on a forum French trip Loz had to be recovered back to the UK after only an hour on French soil due to a blow out leading on from hitting a UK pothole.

Many thanks

PS the QP spacesaver does not fit the 3200/4200

Good shout.

Off on a two week trip in June to Spain/Majorca in the GS.

Would potentially make it worth someones while to borrow a spare for the trip.

I might check the forum coffers and see if we can buy one to lend out.

What are we looking at cost wise?

Hum a bit pricey but hey, I knew it would be.

Didn't someone find a Volvo one that they thought was the same?

Volvo certainly have 108 PCD wheels.
Can't imagine Maserati having a custom made spare wheel, will have been pulled from the universal parts bin.
Finding it is the hard part.
It would help if a member with a spare wheel could post up as much info as possible.
Tyre size and markings, wheel size and markings etc.

I do recall this being raised and solved on the old forum many years ago, I think the solution was some wheel that could only fit the boot if it was deflated... can't remember what it came from though... sorry

I had a spacesaver + compressor in my car for some time but it is now sitting in my garage, doing nothing. I only use my Maser for short trips, so I don't see the point of carrying it with me all the time. Spacesaver + pump have ofcourse never been used but the spacesaver does have some scratching on the surface due to storage in the boot of the car. If you can't find an affordable alternative and if you are interested, please make me an offer by PM.

Thanks,
Danny
