I'd run less cars which would free up fundsLOL.....after 6 pints of WB these days I'd not even be able to write, say or know what TVR was either!
Of course it makes no sense at all but is not stopping the urges.
I have a luxury saloon in the XJL SuperSport. Missus has a Discovery Sport so have the 7 Seater all round machine. Exotic Coupe is ticlked if the 4200 qualifies. Does the TVR become classic and nippy?
I think you need a not hatch in there. It is that classic and nippy? I need a work commercial as well so am allowed the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
I guess looking at it the lovely Alfa GT could be surpass to requirements. Shame as I love it......that noise...mmmmmm......Busso.
The QP6 GTS is indeed a better buy than the Strad if rear legroom is important. But a totally different car to drive. It’s neigh on impossible to compare Masers limo (all be it a fast one) to their stripped out GT, and I can’t really imagine anyone seriously considering one over the other. They serve two completely different purpose. I used my QP GTS for ferrying the family and commuting to work with an auto box. Whereas I use my 2seat Strad for fun trips and when a manual gear box, more speed and more noise is required. Chalk and cheese.
BTW, the gearbox settings on the Strad are different to MC Shift MC Sportline also. They are quicker in the Strad. Remember, the MC Sportline is purely a kit of carbon trim (interior and exterior) that could be ordered on any normal GT auto or GT MC Shift of that period. It’s wasnt mechanically different to standard it terms of engine, brakes, gearbox, etc. Think of it as a fancy frock. Nice to have though, and I much appreciated the MC Sportline kit on my MC Shift.
Interesting comment.... reading between the lines. With the concours it won being judged on looks alone. If you want to trailer it to each event/show, then it’s great. But if you expect to drive it there and back, think again.
This video sold meI could be wrong, but it sounds as though you’ve not driven a 2 seat Strad around a track. It’s not a light car by any means, and certainly no track day special,
Thanks....I was too. I was actually speechless when he called me. I honestly couldn't find the words and many words at all to respond at the time. I had to take a while to digest what I had heard.Speechless.
Agreed Phil. These types would sell their grandmother it seems to make a couple of quid.Disgraceful behavior indeed just like estate agents and the like.
It all comes down to the coin.
Leave a Google review on him.
I do agree Ewan in principal but in the real world the only people that end up winning are the solicitors. I've spent....sorry...wasted enough money on solictors over the years. You had a verbal agreement. Tell him your lawyer will be in touch if he doesn’t compensate you or go ahead with the originally agreed deal.
Just to add we had a written agreement over email so even worse. However I understand a verbal agreement has just as much weight in a court of law these days as a written agreement just harder to prove often. You had a verbal agreement. Tell him your lawyer will be in touch if he doesn’t compensate you or go ahead with the originally agreed deal.
One bad apple but agree certain industries seem to have more than others...
I guess it depends how much more time you want to out into this and how much you want the car. Ewans route or talk to the guy who did buy it are both options if it is a must have but I would be seriously p155ed oof
So upsetting, sorry to hear this.............It's a shame that a deposit was not part of the deal because that would surely clench the deal??!!!
Agreed........ A gentlemans agreement is as good as any, as long as the other party is a gentleman!!!Thanks. I had asked for his bank details to send a deposit or payment but he had ignored this and not given them to me. I suspect there was the commencement of this other deal bubbling in the background so maybe he was hedging his bets and keeping both deals alive in case one fell out of bed. Fine if you want to work this way but that is not the way I work or would like to be treated.
He even had the option of calling me to make me aware of another deal had been offered after our deal had been agreed. Even if he had said I'm sorry but I have been offered £1k or £5k more or whatever.....what do you want me to do? I could have said no, yes or told him I think that is morally wrong as we had a deal. Or anything. He chose not to call or do or say anything. That says a lot about a person in my book.
