Went to the car yesterday,

Opened the door, the window went down as it does..... then the battery was flat!

So flat that even the battery charger wouldn’t charge it...

Only left her for 8 days! I know the battery drains on them but wasn’t expecting that quick! Haha

I have a battery tender on the way (Chris :D)

Had to cover the side of the car in cling film over night to protect from the rain Over night haha

Managed to get a little bit of power into the battery, the radio comes on, the dash lights up, head lights come on, BUT....

The window won’t go up?!??? And the door won’t open unless you use the manual catch

Please help haha

It’s coming up with every error ever created by man and continuously telling me to goto dealer

Almost guarantee it is caused by a failed Navtrak battery causing parasitic drain.

Also it’s worth checking the footwells for wet with all the recent rain if car lives outside.

If it’s like the 4200 / Gs the window ecu is susceptible to damage.

I just had our old Audi A3 full of water due to blocked windscreen drain / pollen filter drain. Everything was going crazy and still not quite right despite running a dehumidifier over night and clearing drains.

The ECUs which control the functions may need a reset once the new battery is fitted.

Where is the Navtrak battery?
and can you remove Navtrak to eliminate the risk of this happening?
or should you just replace the battery?
(even though I don't have Navtrak activated, or at least I dont think I have!)

Cheers

Some people have had success in getting Navtrak/Cobra to come out and either remove or replace the battery on the tracker. Personally I just removed my own. In my case on the 4200 it was all located under the parcel shelf and spread out around the rear arches. Saves about 3kg!

Whoa calm down.
It doesn't have a Navtrak and it'll be utterly fine when it gets some decent volts.

At the very worse it'll need to be connected, disconnected then reconnected again.
Cycle the locks and start it up.

....ask me how I know....

(the battery may be shot but that's the worst it is)

<edit> And the footwells will be bone dry, unless water has got in through Jake's clingfilm!

Floors are bone dry :)

And I’m glad you cleared that up about the navtrak!

Cars awesome! Just potentially a poorly battery although doesn’t look old!

Hoping if I get a new battery or a different battery all the errors will clear
This battery just will not charge haha
It’s currently connected to a smaller battery via jump leads to transfer some power over then hopefully it will charge and we shall go from there :)
