Dvd are about 10p trying to save money. ;0)

Yes I understand as usb sticks come into the £ not p
But they do look better and less bulky you can have smart logos put on them made into key rings or wrist straps
And also we don't drive around in cheap brand cars. and also correct me if I'm wrong isn't it quicker to load something on a memory stick than burn onto a DVD I'm no tec wizard so not sure. I know when I've put stuff on to cd or DVDs it's time consuming where putting on to a stick just click drag and drop on. Unless someone has a large set up of burning DVDs. Also my DVD player is becoming redundant what with Netflix and virgin tv. Plus my Apple TV box there is nothing I can't watch.

I've joined a few car clubs over the years, and USB sticks are a common bit of logo'd merchandise. Trouble is, they are always tiny capacity, and of no real use. I see them as a waste of money for the club, and a waste of time for the recipient. Pens are perhaps better - everyone uses them, and they can be used at work too, whereas USB sticks are frequently (hopefully trending towards totally) banned from the workplace. A flyer with a link to hosted videos will be much cheaper than any sort of media - people only watch them once and throw them into the bin or the back of a drawer.

Car window stickers are cheap and usually well received. Biggest bang for the buck has to be getting a couple of the wing-style banners, such as the Maserati MD loaned us for Brunty last year. They pack to the size of an umbrella, so will go into any boot. Similarly, a pop-up gazebo will go into any Maser boot, so shouldn't be a problem getting them to events.

I did try and arrange this for previous events but it fell on deaf ears. I am glad that there is such an interest as I fell it has been lacking and we need a central area to congregate other than a Bar! :D

Maybe videos on a YouTube channel including, meets, our cars and events.

SM At Race Tracks themed year planner / events calendar.

You could call it the SMart planner.

From the overheard comments with people walking past at Newby Hall yesterday,

"What's that?"

"I don't know, it looks like and Aston Martin"

or

"What's that symbol on the front?"

Maybe something as simple as a template for A5 vehicle data sheets with the forum address on it to stick in the windscreen would be useful. Something along the lines of:

Car:
Engine:
0-60:
Top Speed:

Combine this with the banners and that would up the presence.

We have A4 lamented sheets for all the Alfas, summary of basic specifications and a brief summary of design or ownership stories. People stop to read and then nearly always chat about what they own and often it is very similar.
