Hello
Im new french member I own a 4200 CC 2005 skyhook.
My ECu send an error message on dashboard showing the skyhook is out of order.
I ordered to eurospare all the sensors.
I replaces 3 horizontal sensor but I dont manage to locate the last one the vertical sensor.
It should be on front of the car but where ?, would someone have a picture ?
Too do I need to erase the error code to fix it ?
regards
nico

Hi Nico,

Are you able to get an SD2 diagnostic reading? There are several problems that would show a skyhook error on your dashboard. If you can get a diagnostic it will tell you where the fault is exactly. This would also allow you to erase the error message.

Regards, Miles.

Im far from a SD2 more 2.30 hours the nearest. That is why I tried to do it myself but I think I wont manage to find...
Only a SD2 can talk ?
Even if I change the good sensor it wont be ok without the sd2 ?
thanks for help.

Hi Nico, You can get OBD2 diagnostic scanners that will read the generic codes. It won't read the Maserati codes, as there are protected, but the fault you have may be generic anyway. OBD readers are widely available and not at all expensive. Regards, Miles.

I think the sensor you talk of is behind the headlight and is a common fault. You can fix it, the weight falls off and simply needs gluing back on. Ill see if I can find the thread for you.

Found my damaged sensor and it solved my problem !! Im happy
To see the sensor you must remove the filter box and the acces is good to the lateral sensor, it is on the filter bracket.
changed it and no need to reset anything, my skyhook is now ok !
Thanks for help.
