Emotional day, but today the new owner pick up my GS.

Gave her the traditional send off wash, wax and fettle, the guy turned up and that was that.

Its a bit of an end of an era for me, as I have been running that model of Maserati coupe for the past 5 years, and that is most likely my last one. Its been a turbulent ride with the 3200 but the GS has more than made up for it, its been bullet proof.

Oh well, the new member assures me he will be on here in a few days, so will leave him to introduce himself, what a lovely day to pick up a car, its like the first day of Spring down here.

Moneys in the bank, on to the next.........

.......to be continued!

Yours was one of the nicest I'd seen Matt, new owner is a lucky man!

Always sad to see them go but it's tempered by looking forward to the replacement. And your Opel will be great fun at Le Mans!!

Thanks guys for the kind words.

If you fancy the odd 220 mile detour Matt and want to drive to the next Ace cafe in a Masser , feel free to have a blast in the spare , as you know been using the 4200 of late and its in fine fettle , both Harley'd up yesterday in that gorgeous sun up here in MK , looking the dogs onthe drive at the moment untill the next bird poo drops

best of luck mate , wouldn't blame you for trying a Nissan GTR in the build up to the GTS

Actually, that is not a bad shout Loz. I dont want to loose any money though, well, could suffer 3k of so for 9mths to a year (ha ha, more than I lost on the GS in 2.5years, another one to chalk up against those who slander Italian cars) but I dont know this marque and there are a fair few out there.

Thanks for the 4200 heads up, might take you up on that, or there is always that Bora down in Cornwall (Christ, here I go again, she has only been gone a few hours!)

or a cheaky Merak, that would not devalue, but all classic Masers are difficult to shift.

....wasn't there an interesting thread somewheres about a guy who bumped his GTR into a car in front whilst parking, it set off the pedestrian safety mechanism...which resulted in having to replace all and sundry for £10K....but no damage evident to car!!!???

Just giving you a heads up Matt in case parking aint your forte!!!!

I was thinking more of cat d with a light rear ender ,in and out with no financial loss , fronts are awfully expensive to repair , been a few about lately for sensible money

Yes, I am fully aware of that one, thanks to this forum, and if I were to go that route, day one it would be at my trusted auto sparky to have the thing severed!

Just had a quick sniff round over on PH and early £40's will get you into one, but there are way too many for sale, 108 at present, so its a buyers market, which means devaluation in my book.

Its a stunning car, but who ever they gave the interior design to need stringing up, zero out of ten for effort.

Chin up Matt. Sad she's gone but no looking back and all that.....

You've posted in the classic thread. Does that mean you're still planning an oldie before the GT-S?

Doh! No, just not paying attention, consider it moved.
