There is a web exclusive discount on at the moment.

Just add code EXTRA10 at checkout. Worked for me!

...Opie Oils do 10L delivered for about £52 but I got 2 free 1L's in a zipp up Shell branded Jacket so that works out at £4.33 a litre vs ECP's at £3.60 a litre at the moment.

I took advantage of opie oil offer too a few months ago.
It always appears to be very reasonably priced. I know it's factory fill stuff, but with it being so cheap compared to other synthetics at the same viscosity, is better more appropriate now more suitable, at higher cost of course?

I bought 10 litres for £35.98 from ECP when they had an offer on 1st of October, I thought it was too good an offer in an email I got, they must be repeating the deal!

Just ordered same - used the code so 10 litres on the way,

Next on the list is an F1 relay (or 2) and an auxillary belt I guess - what other common parts would you guys "keep to hand"

If you need an auxiliary belt, and still in the UK, you use the RAC/AA to get home and sorted then. Different if overseas.
You only need stuff that is an easy quick fix to get going again.
Spare fuses, F1 relay, jump leads/battery booster, IMHO.

I can confirm after last weekend's shenanigans that you can replace an aux belt at the side of the road with the tools in the Maserati toolkit plus an additional 15mm spanner!

Dont know why but Ferrari put a Aux belt in the tool kit.
when I put mine back together I replaced the one on the car and put a new one in the boot too.
I always carry my Sparco rally tool bag with just the right selection of tools for most eventualities.
Being a fabric tool bag they take very little space so worth getting one guys check them out on Demon Tweeks mine is over 20 years old and travelled all over Europe for Toyota hundreds of times.
Phil.

Should only go off if it's contaminated, after all it stays in the ground for thousands of years and manages to survive intact..!!

So does mineral water...but once bottled goes off in months apparently (if you read the sell by date)

My QP toolkit consists of a tow bar, two spanners a handbrake release tool and a double ended screwdriver - is that enough?

Back to oil.

Does it go off? When in storage that is?

The Motor Transport mechanics buy the stuff by the 200+ litre oil drum and they take around a year or two to get through one of those! So oil in a sealed plastic container that it came in should be all right.
