Wattie, anybody else,
What's your opinion on Greatland Gold finished, the day on a high, time to sell or do you think it will go higher?

AML just hit your 50p target, Rockits...
I know..... trouble is they still don't look like a great buy! I'll mull it over overnight. Could be a Friday punt trouble is I'm not sure how much upside I see against the risk of going pop.

Maybe a spreadbet long for 25 points.

I'm still in GGP and holding for longer term but that is just my personal opinion/position. I am no trader btw!

FWIW I wouldn’t... would be sentiment of the wrong kind for me to go in. I just like the cars. If they made washing machines I wouldn’t go near..... So I won’t go near :(

Guys, two I have been adding recently and already well in profit.

ODX - Covid Antibody kit due imminently. 32p to buy target £1.

AVCT - Antigen lateral flow test 68p target £3. (Next NCYT).

Also INCE - Law firm, big seller II who had to get out as dividend stopped. Once clears it will move. £17m cash, £17m mcap.

I tipped FAB today at 112p and it hit 220.

Re AML. Read the Share Prospectus...

new shares have been issued at 30p per share to holder before a certain date I think end of March time, market already has priced a lot of this in, you have to look at it in terms of MCap rather than share price until the new shares are finally issued.

Thanks for your opinion
GTVGEOFF this is a tough one to call, for several reasons:

First, the market conditions are far from normal, and the volatility means the moves can be exaggerated;
Secondly, GGP is not a pretty chart to analyse, as it's volatile at the best of times;
Thirdly, the stock is overbought and is ripe for a short-term pullback and I don't know whether you're a buy and hold, or short-term, investor.

From a technical perspective, the stock is at a take profit point for a short-term investor for two reasons:
First, price has been rejected at previous all-time highs (where it now sits) i.e. there are sellers at c. 5.90:

Secondly, that coincides with the 4.236 Fibonacci extension of the Jan 19 high to Nov 19 low:

Set against that, price is in a fresh (bullish) volatility squeeze on the 3 day chart:

And that squeeze is in itself set within a healthy volatility squeeze on the monthly chart:

Also, the stock has upward momentum.

So, as ever with trading, the answer to your question is "who knows". I'm not seeing compelling probabilities for either direction. You could always take profit and then get back in once 5.90 is cleared and (successfully) re-tested: what was once resistance may become support. If you decide to stay in, set an exit point in your mind now and stick to it ...

Good luck!

I’m of the view Golds going much much higher.......if GGP delivers its price will follow.
I’m in long term.

Gold is in a nice (bullish) volatility squeeze on the weekly chart, with short-term fibonacci extension targets at c. US$1773 and c. US$1860 respectively:

Don't forget that tomorrow is US monthly options expiration, and the markets will be hugely manipulated ...

Manipulated- surely not.

Everything is total BS. Dow futures soar on this!!

Some very good numbers there C but I would express caution. These are highly speculative investments (like NCYT) and are extremely volatile. There's going to be massive profit taking on these as people will get out with gains like those......gains of that magnitude in a day aren't normal and remember, nothing they are developing has been proven. (Gilead!)
Invest with caution and as others have said, not with more than you can afford to lose.
Profit taking is always good- set a target and pull when its hit.

Hi GTV

I would recommend spending some time on the LSE board and doing your own research on this share. In my view you need to hold until at least 30th April when Havieron drill results are published followed by Numis revising the SP target up to 10p minimum. Based on past performance you then have two choice, cash out/top slice and consider picking up more shares on any dip or stay in for the long term. Gold price, and ever increasing tier 1 world class resource and the now very real chance of a buy out or takeover all could make this a happy tale.

A word of caution. This stock is on the AIM so is volatile so take Froddy advice and work up a plan. It’s easy to follow the hype and the boards like LSE are full of hysterical voices.

Do your own research. Good luck.

Rockits, Froddy, Wattie, AT3200AC,
Thanks all for your input.
To be a little clearer I have a fairly large sum in an ISA which is in a managed fund, it is in the NFU Mixed portfolio 40/85 shares fund, it's been ticking along ok nothing exciting just steady. I do not draw from it and been leaving it to grow. I should have taken Wattie's advice and cashed it in, but you just don't do these things, I will just have to ride it out.
I also have a self invested ISA which over time I have added to and reinvested the dividends, A little while back I had invested around 100k and the value was around 140k, so quite pleased with myself and it was generating 6% in dividends a year. Again I wasn't drawing from it, its value is a lot lower now and yes should have cashed it in.
My simple resume was to generate an income better than the banks can give plus tax free. I don't want to be sat in front of a computer screen watching markets and trading all the while. I normally buy and hold. Having said that I have recently thought there are opportunities to perhaps earn a little extra as all my dividends seem to be drying up.
I am very much of the same mind as Rockits, invest small amounts and take a small profit when or if it arises. Most of the jargon on here goes over my head but it is interesting and there obviously some smart guys on here.
Wattie I agree with your view on gold but wouldn't want to hold the physical stuff, I think you made some suggestion a few posts back , I will have to take a look.
I took Froddy's advice and stuck to my plan and sold Greatland Gold today, made £700 gain so happy. Now looking for the next.
Again thanks all, have a good weekend and keep safe.

Great news....good work. Any profit at the moment is good news.

Most goes over my head too. I understand the basics and all I need to. You need balls of steel at the moment. They need to create a new term for a tree shake. Some of these trees are being shaken by bl00dy hurricanes at the moment.

Added some more NCYT earlier today on dips. Bought back into HOC again.

Still holding NCYT, GGP, SOLG for a while I think. Might dump half of NCYT at £5 if it gets there next week but definitely will at £6.

If I close all positions now that will be 40% profit using circa £25k over 6 weeks so pretty happy with that. A smidge better than 1% over a year but a profit isn't a profit until realised so not there yet.

It is good I haven't got much time to watch as I could imagine it would do your head in.

My only.goal is to beat the interest rate the bank gives over a year and I'd call that a win.
