May meet you at Autoshield one day soon, I'm there tomorrow and again a couple of times next week too. Sounds like a great car. Sport mode will improve the gear changes hugely.

Nikos, I know you like that avatar, a lot of others do too. I might just think up a new one involving the cars though this time??
Dicky, Yes I will look forward to that, it's nice to put a face to the name!!
Dem, We are based between Sheffield, Wakefield & Doncaster, the Bohemian Triangle, where the sun always shines, women are beautiful and men are like stallions!!!!
Adam, Yes she is nice and I do like the colour I must admit, it grows on you. I am pretty thrilled, but can't wait to get her serviced as I am taking her a bit steady until then and I have a little bit of cleaning to get her up to my standard.
Cheers all

Yes Mansfield is not that far, we have friends down there and I know an ace pub with excellent food, excellent hand pull too (for those not driving of course). I'll PM you with my number, give me a ring when you are certain you are coming up and we will LIASE!!!

Hi Chaps,

I might just get an avatar with both on, just to please everybody!!!
Dem, so far and have not pushed her too far as she needs a service, I find the acceleration progressive, does not have the sudden punch of the turbo's. Accelerates well, very stable, nice ride overall. At the moment I think the CC box may need topping up, changes are quite chunky, although when pushing and using the paddles changes are quite slick.
James, no mate, I had it done by the closest Indie, which was Shilltech, Miles said they were OK and talking to them they do know their stuff.
Mike, I am based sort of between Sheffield, Wakefield and Doncaster, in the countryside, easy access to the A1/M1/M62.

When I have done a bit of cleaning and tarting up, I will post more pics. So far I am quite impressed, but I still quite like the AC, it's different.

Cheers
R

Congratulations Rob - great looking car!

I had a 4200 Spyder and 3200 manual at the same time, so used to regularly drive them back to back. I always found that the 3200 felt quicker (due to the push from the turbos), and I never 100% gelled with the 4200's cc gearbox (I've driven a Gransport and the cc gearbox was streets ahead though, so yours may be slicker as a facelift 4200). I think the difference would've been less marked had it been an auto 3200, as the manual feels quicker. The 4200 sounded better (with larini).

I know that everyone on here has an opinion on 3200 vs 4200 but few actually have experience of both and even fewer get to drive them both regularly back to back. So, will be interesting to see how your views form on the comparison between the two!

Thanks Chaps,
I really appreciate your appreciation and good wishes, if that makes sense??
Nigw, As far as I can gather, the CC box in this car and a few of the other stuff, is identical to the Gransport, correct me if I'm wrong?? So far and the car needs a service, I have found the gearbox a bit chunky at times, but that's when I tried it in auto, in manual mode it's better, but I am told if I put it in SPORT it will be significantly better, NEXT STEP!!!!
Woody, I think the guy has had it up for sale on and off for a while, at a much higher price than recently. He had sold it to Australia, but the buyer suddenly died on him before he could get it shipped. We had quite lengthy negotiations over a period and finally agreed on a figure, which I am happy with. It needs a few bits to get it up to my standards, but not much, thankfully. I'll get more pics shortly.
Cheers

Mine never comes out of Sport mode and drive accordingly in my opinion you should not be given the option you don't by a super car for economy.
