That bungy is quite small. I've done numerous bungee jumps, two of the highest in the world in New Zealand and South Africa. I've also done a few canyon swings. Scary moments included being held hanging off a ledge, upside down naturally, on the canyon swing and being counted down and hearing this "5, 4, 3" *RIPPING NOISE*, starting to fall then hearing the safety instructor screaming "Nooo oh ****" . That was fun.

More scary was doing a Great White Shark Cage Dive. We went budget and the gaps in the cage were large enough for the sharks to bite the cage how no one lost a hand I don't know. It was worse when a shark jumped on top of the open side of the cage, people on the boat pushed it away, otherwise we would've been sushi.

All that said, I wouldn't free climb that tower, that's crazy.

I have an idea: Why not set all our avatars with people doing bungy jumping or climbing as high as they can?

(Andy will never log in after this!! :) )

Terrific video - those guys deserve whatever bonus they were on.

I've done a fair bit of rock-climbing and wouldn't have too much of a problem with the exposure, and they don't have to worry about rock-fall above them, nor holds breaking away, so objectively it's quite safe. But I wouldn't like to be doing it wearing jeans (too easy to trip yourself up), wearing gloves (can't feel the holds fully), wearing a watch (can get stuck in a hold), with the tool kit hanging below (too easy for it to snag and pull you off - that's the most scary bit for me) and his 'chicken sling' (the sling he clips in with) is too long, he has to step down each time to put tension on it - that would be very disconcerting - I would have that short so it would hold me TIGHT.

The video doesn't show the descent, that would be even more tricky. There is a saying in climbing that all the great climbers are killed in descent, that's where the majority of accidents are.

Hats off to them.

As a part of my job I had the pleasure of hosting 35 customers at a bungee jumping place nearby. We had unlimited jumps available, so I took advantage. I jumped 22 or 23 times, and the last few were done blind folded, backwards, and you get pushed over the side when you least expect it. Tons of fun!!!!

I think the most dangerous thing I ever did was buy a hotdog from a street vendor in New York City at 3am.....now THAT's dangerous!!!:f10:

But Tubber, we have seen the pictures of your madcap hobby.... That must have been a seriously scary hot dog adventure!

For me probably the methhead whores touting for business on the front in Honolulu are seriously scary just trying to get back to your hotel past them is just so dangerous...
