'Tis indeed the S4 Andy, but by that time it had got heavy, the interior was very 90s and it was on EFi. Aso the extended front and rear bumpers made it quite a long car, not the little lightweight nippy thing that Battista Pininfarina drew. An S2 Kamm tail for me, have my eye on one, a guy taking more photos for me. Might be mine by the end of the week...

This is the one. Been chatting to the bloke all week, have told him I'll pay him what he asks, just need a few pics of key areas and then I'll come up for a look. He seems fairly reticent to take them, I'm hoping he's just lazy rather than trying to hide something. It all looks good, but easy to hide the filler from here...

Right colour, right price. Can't find another in the same range at the moment.

Never heard back. If he won't take pics, then have to assume the car is a dog!

Let's see what the next contestant is like, a fully bare-metal restored red 1972 car has just hoved into view. Tax free fun, no silly rear seats and a Lotus forum menber's Dad, so kind of a recommendation! I have a good feeling about this car, but then I say that and buy sheds most of the time :(

Pity that Lewis.....when you take a fellow enthusiasts word for something and get shafted anyways....:(

Haven't seen it for 3 weeks, collect on Saturday hopefully. Re-map, exhaust, springs, geo and interior trim. Should be quite a machine when I get it back!

Predictably the search for a cheap Alfa has now turned into the hunt for a boat-tailed 1750, budget moved from £5k to £12k now! It's a pretty safe place to put money though.

This is the current fave: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classic-car-page.php/carno/131450 have emailed the chap for a look this Saturday.

The only thing that makes me nervous is the 100k miles. I know it's 1968 but it's a lot. I guessing a 60s Alfa wouldn't do 100k without an engine and gearbox rebuild though!? So might be better than an original low miles without the build?

Minimum we're looking at is now £8k, not sure how that happened, she's offered to add money if needed to make a Kamm tail into a boat tail, I wouldn't take her money but it's sweet anyway and nice to have her interested!

Think the 964 targa will go and be replaced with a 996 manual cabrio with heated seats, hardtop and cruise. Lotus is staying, saw it last week and it's amazing to look at. Love buying cars, just hate selling them :(
