Rear shocks for an 09 QPV Sport GTS

Tell tale damp patch on the drive by the rear wheel confirmed as fubered shock when I took the wheel off. It's standard coil over type - not the sky hook setup. Obviously will replace the pair, but what's the consensus on replacements? Happy to go standard like for like or equivalent (I don't need anything fancy), but should I get the complete spring and shock ensemble, or just the shocks plus any recommended bushes/bolts/bits & bob's??...
Eurospares? Or other?
And what's the task of changing them over likely to entail?
Cheers in anticipation!!

I don’t think you will be able to buy it complete with the spring as an assembly and in any event, I would only change the damper which should come with a bottom bush. The bump stops, too mounts etc should swap over providing they are in good condition.

At a guess, replacement will involve taking out the bottom liner to get to the top bolts, then the bottom bolt. Then you’ll need a spring compressor to dismantle and rebuild. Probably a job for a garage.

Thanks Zep, I wasn't planning on doing it myself - been there done that and scared myself to death ...
I'll see what Eurospares come in at - I assume they'll be the best option and double check what comes in the box :)

I think Scuderia Car Parts might be cheaper. Plus I would try Ross @ Meridien Modena.

Cool - thanks gents. In your opinions, is it worth changing the springs too anyway? They do have corrosion on them and will be the originals same as the dampers I presume.

I think I have a pair of used ones in the shed if you are interested....

Oooh - how used? I may be...

I'm trying to remember their status now.... Perhaps not terribly attractive:

With my old 2009 4.2 QPV, I had an MOT fail a couple of years ago for a slight leak, so I bought a pair from David Askew for a few quid (maybe £300 - I can look it up), which he said had done 10,000 miles. Then the garage fitted both, but one of the new ones went 'clunk' a lot, so we put the better of the old ones back on. So I think I now have (in the shed) one maybe 10,000 one that goes clunk and one maybe up to 70,000 mile on that leaks a bit. So basically they both really need to be rebuilt by David or someone.

So, maybe not? Sorry.

Anyone knows whether these bilstein can be installed in a QPV with skyhook? So replace skyhook with fixed rate absorbers.

I imagine they will fit (with the appropriate top mounts etc), but you will have a fault light.
