Rear bumper 3200

Afternoon,

Just managed to rip off my rear bumper on the 3200Gt - the joys of one of those wholly pointless car killing security bollards that someone had put in their car parking space outside my office. Was only putting the car there for 30 minutes or so whilst workmen needed access to where my car was.... now I need a new bumper. Not best impressed. The car is touring grigio silver, but if there's any going out there, I can always get it primed/painted elsewhere?

Start with David Askew, but there are also a few Maserati breakers if he doesn't come up with anything. I believe the 3200 rear bumper is also the same as the 4200 pre-facelift, but don't take my word for it 100%!

Not sure about that Mark, doesn't the 3200 have reflectors let into the bumper? I'm sure a 4200 bumper will fit a 3200 but it might be questioned at the MOT.

At least it is only bolts to undo / fasten on the replacement. Slightly swkward to refit, the bolts are accessed via the bootspace but need to be undone "blind".
Opportunity to sort out any blemishes on the wheel arches or under rear lights. remember to fit some clear plastic film as anti-chafe.

****! Sorry to hear that Ben. Whilst it won't immediately bring you on I managed to pick up a rear bumper for my GT for £50 off someone who happened to have it in his shed. Just needed sanding, priming and painting and it was better than new. Hopefully you'll track down an equally good deal. Good luck!

You're not having much luck Ben, sorry to hear that, there are a few fronts on fleabay, but obviously that does not help much, unless the supplier has one and has not advertised it yet, worth a shot..??

I think Beau's car was just front mainly, but not sure if he was changing the rear or not at the same time..??

Cheers Gents- not a great day as you can imagine! Think my weekend will be spent trawling the net in search of a replacement, without breaking the bank! Will try David Askew as suggested- also got Marios on the case so we'll have to see what happens. If anyone hears of any 3200 rear bumpers going, please point me in the right direction
