it could be a pain to sell

Having owned an 'interesting' colour choice of Maserati previously, I would say just go for it and use the 'hard colour to sell' statement up front when you put in an offer. The seller will of course push back, but if they are having trouble selling it because of the colour then you are in the driving seat, as it were.

I haggled hard for my 1st GranSport, it was in Top Marques at 54K and I was able to get it after lots of bartering for 45K. I had it advertised over 3 years later @35k and it sold for very close to that. I had to wait a while to get my price, but some people just fall in love with unique colours.

I personally love Red on a Maser. Go for it! YOLO.

Don't know why I am looking as my car is not even a year old yet. Anyway, this is pretty much the same colour scheme as my 4200 which I sold last summer to part part part fund my GTS Auto purchase. I really like it but I suspect it could be a pain to sell:

BB, you are right to be worried about resale..As we know red does take longer to shift than the more boring blacks/greys etc.....Me I love it..Go on take the plunge. Be different.

No, no, no just posting for information. Already had a red/black 4200 which was a pain to shift. Happy with my blue GTS A.

Nice low mileage and may even have some Maserati warranty left on it. Personally I love the red / black combo. Strange that we all love it but it's hard colour to sell on. And I agree with Matt, wrong 'box. Mind you, does a car which shouts "RED" as loudly as that also need an MC box shouting as well? Actually, yeah, of course it does. Whatever was I thinking!

Red...one of those colours lots love but wouldn't buy...........I would have it over almost all colours...Red, black are gun metal wheels, black leather, red stitching or piping....Or tan leather...

Was never a fan of the Coupe/Gransport in red (sorry!) but was at Charles Hurst for the 458 Spider launch last night and they had the new Granturismo S Auto in red, with black interior/red stitching/black window edging/dark wheels. Have to say it looked absolutely stunning. The salesman started it up and the sound was fabulous. An interesting thing was it was sitting along side a white example and from the front the red car looked about a foot narrower; it really shrinks the car.

I am now converted to red.

Hasn't the S got the same power as a Stradale...If so with the 4 seats doesn't it make the Stradale a bit of a non starter now.....Front end is almost the same as well..

I wonder how much real world difference any extra power would give? Other than pub bragging rights over who's got the most power the real difference must be fairly slight. Perhaps enough to make a scrap of difference on a track day but the Stradale's surely a long way off being a great track car anyway. Sounds good, though. Still, for my money (if I had any left!) I'd go for the four seats. Especially the new seats in the Sport which look fantastic in the pictures and I look forward to seing in real life.

Any idea if the Sport has a grown-up satnav which understands 7-digit post-codes?

Adam, agree the new Sport is the way to go.....The seats as you say look stunning alone with the nip and tuck on the outside...
