There is a lot of BS around the power output of the 4.7 lump as Maserati have clearly understated it at Ferrari's request.
The stated figures are roughly this:
GTS MC/GTS Auto 440PS (the GTS MC went up to 450PS for the 2012MY)
MC Stradale 450PS (460PS for 2013MY onwards)
GTS Sport 460PS
How anyone would reasonably tell the difference between any of these engines on the road is beyond me.
It's great to see progress and it will be interesting to see what the 4.7 power output is in next year's QP but it's all small beer and much of it is window dressing and is driven by the California's recent power increase raising Maserati's glass ceiling.
