Yes I have a card reader that I slot my card in. It generates a number that I input to the on line account for access.
The card is damaged (apparently) and so does not generate the access code

Yeah, I had that on a trip to South Africa a few years ago. But they did call and leave a message on my home ansafone saying they were concerned there might be a problem with my cards. So that was nice.I feel you pain, I remember being on an extended holiday in the US a few years back, told my bank I was off for 3 weeks yet as soon as I paid for lunch on arrival they shut down credit card, tried debit and they shut that.
People who think their trip is more important than mine by jumping the queue to filter to one lane at roadworks even though they've been warned for the past 3 miles, meaning if I do the British thing and queue I never get anywhere..Lorries. In particular the ones that decide to block two lanes when you are coming up to the filter just before roadworks!
Who are these self appointed guardians of the road network who dislike being overtaken when there are two lanes to use for over 400 yards?
