I know this thread probably should be dead and buried seeing as Cobra has said he is no longer interested in the car, but that ad is still up there and I have heard through the grapevine that the guy at that dealership is still entertaining interested parties.

Is this a dodgy dealer we should all be watching out for Cobra? i.e. someone who gets kicks out of messing people about?!

I hope I don't start a riot with that post! Honest, I don't mean to pry. If it's none of my business feel free to put me straight and tell me to mind my own business Cobra. As a QP owner I was just curious.

Anyway on a more lighthearted note, here's a Rap video some of you QP boys may (or may not!) like to get Cobra in the QP mood. We know how you Welsh boys like your Rap music Cobra! lol ;)

I did have another look at the car and spoke the the dealer again. Before I spoke to dicky I hassen to add.

The car in its self is good there is a fair few quid to be spent on it.
Tyres, tracking need to be done,
The body work is fair from perfect and needs a good £2000 to be brought upto my standard.
The underbody needs sorting but no welding etc just a strip and unseal,
New front pads and discs (discs need a min of a skim but ideally new ones)
Rear suspension is good and fairly new,
There is 2 years worth of servicing missing between 2008 and 2010 iirc. Ie 2007 was last service the. The next was 2010.
The gearbox is tight and works without a hiccup, the engine fires up nps and sounds good, no oil or signs of rust in the engine bay,
There is water and it's damp in the boot (spare wheel well) and smells a little rusty there, it's had a new midsection exhaust and the rear boxes are in good condition.
The rear parking sensors need changing and the sensor for the low tyre pressure needs sorting,
There is also a stored fault on the car althoughi forgot what it is.
It is not worth. 20 grand and the TRADER will not put on a warranty unless you buy one!for just under £2000.
If you do not buy the warranty he will not sell it unless you sign a disclaimer stating to do not want a warranty with the car.
None of the other cars he's has there are in fantastic condition including the 2 fezzers he has.
All look in ...ok condition.
He will offer to carry out the new tyres and new pads for the asking price.

Make you own minds up.....

Have done m8 and have no interest in the car it's all down in Dickys hands now.
From my own personal experience of this ...dealer?......
I would not use him or buy any of his cars ether...

I'd have to agree with Frank's 1st comment (the car need's a lot sorting so prob best to move on unless more work gets actioned for the price) but not necessarily the latter - if you are looking for a QP5 under 20k, it's not like there are plenty out there (good clean examples in the right colour combo that is).

The car in its self is nice but requires some money spent on it when done it will be a blinder tbh but it's not worth any where near 20k in its current condition and needs about 5k to bring it upto standard. I don't think it's a money put but I'm also not prepared to put my money where my mouth is.....,....

I've budgeted 25k you can't skimp when it comes to a car like this but I also can't justify spending more than that ether. That sort of cash would get me into a very good merc or Audi both are suitable for my type of work but I want a QP.

Indeed....best to buy the best you can...and not have 3 weeks of work to do list! Plus theres always the doubt, what else wasn't done, neglected, part done etc.....

25k is a great budget Cobra. I'm sure you'll pick up a beauty well within that sort of budget.

A new QP. You do know fiat own Maserati right? Fiat are my contact within Maserati, they were the ones that sorted the Maserati and Ferrari stand passes and who sorted my 4C, the ones who are arranging the 4C viewing at geneva for me and anyone else who wants to come and see it...

Yep I do.......A new QP GTS will cost the best part of 100k Dave.........not sure what sort of discount is available as Maserati only make to order with the odd dealer cars..

They have a few new ones in stock and by new I mean delivery mileage ones. It's something that's raining around in my head although I very much doubt it will come of anything.
And at a guess it would be in the area of 7.5% which wouldnt make it worth it

You can get that on a GranTurismo. Delivery mileage QP should be a much bigger discount given the new model is to be shown at Detroit.
