I have managed to get to the rear seat belts and tested/changed the units, but the airbag warning light remains on. Do I have to get a dealer to turn it off or is there another issue?
Update:-
I took out the centre console unit (media centre etc), handbrake cover and cup holder. I was directed by the Carrs guys that a union 'deep below the handbrake' was an issue. I couldn't see any join and in the end disconnected the ECU that is on top of the tunnel below the media unit. I cleaned the connections and refitted and 'hey presto' the Air Bag Warning Light went out!
I refitted everything only to find the warning came back on. I managed to reach the connectors through the drivers side footwell and reinserted them again and the light went out. It seems as though there is a likelihood that when I put the media unit back in, I disturbed the connectors.
Hopefully this solves the problem!
