It seems surprising to me that there might be 587 GT S Quattoportes that are newer than yours out there!
I thought about this. Although this one was registered in June, it could have been built a lot earlier, so it's understandable.

Forgot to mention if you’re not driving it regularly make sure you have it on a trickle charge my car has had a new S5 Bosch & after 2 weeks started all sorts of issues with easy entry door-locks/boot not opening.
if I keep it on charge no issues at all.
Thanks for the heads-up. Interestingly, in the boot is a Maserati battery conditioner, but I haven't used it yet. I will put this on tomorrow.

Hi All,
I have just joined the forum, although been reading for some time now.
I watched with interest this thread about the Dick Lovett GTS. I have been looking for a QP mk5 GTS for years but finally got round to pressing the Buy button (too much lockdown trawling I think).

I purchased this from Dick Lovett about 3 weeks ago (see image below).
I have to say in reply to some of the comments in this thread, that yes I did pay over the odds for it, but I consoled myself with the fact that we haven't had a holiday for over a year, and I figured that I'd saved more than the difference to what I should have paid!

I would like to put your minds at rest that this will get used! I imagine that I will do around 3-4k a year in it, which as was pointed out will still be a low mileage car in 5 years time.
Anyway, enough rambling. I look forward to participating in this forum, it looks a great place to be for advice and opinions.
That is a lovely example. It will have been vetted closely by Dick Lovett before accepting to sell it on their forecourt or pass it off through auction to the trade. I always recommend buying at the top of your budget and get a really good sorted car. I see too many examples (especially with Porsche cars (my other love) where people buy a lower price car with the aim of bringing it up to top spec and they end up having spent more than buying a good sorted car in the first place. Why? Because when they start to sort out their bargain car, they unravel shed loads of other work that is needed and perhaps not visible when they saw the car for sale or had it inspected. Inspection? What inspection? Many skip the £300 for an inspection, going solely off forum advice on the weak spots to look out for, and so they buy blind having seen only the work they think it needs (without sticking it up in the air and getting under the car for a good look, and hidden work reveals itself when they start dismantling. Enjoy the car.

I paid £36k for my 2010 GTS QP model with 20k miles on it, FMSH etc some 3.5 years ago - now at 35k miles and been a joy....well done - quality is never cheap. Get the SM car play installed and get driving!

Considering your car would still retail in the £30’s 3.5 years later, having paid £36k, I’m not sure why these cars are seen as expensive at all !
Sure, you won’t get retail if you sold of course, but I’m sure it would be somewhere in the high 20’s at worst I’d guess. You may only be 6-8k down, probably less than £200/month for depreciation. That’s cheap motoring!!
(We’ll gloss over running costs:))

Or you could have this. (Although I quite like the duster)

Dick Lovett were great. I dealt with Charles, and nothing was too much trouble. They've given me some peace of mind by supplying the car with 12 months warranty. I've gone into Maserati ownership with my eyes open, and fully expect some expensive bills, but I'm in my late 50's now, so what the heck ..... so long as I can enjoy it I don't mind. :)

It’s a great car the QPV sport GTS, you can’t really not enjoy it! I am not aware of any owners who regretted buying one.

They are great cars (**** sat nav) but depreciation was circa £30k - so makes Maserati motoring look a bargain !

There’s a bright, fire engine red, 4.7 sport GTS popped up on autotrader. Now that’s got to be a rare car!
Especially rare as the person/dealer writing the advert thinks it has a 3.8 twin turbo from the QP VI ! How does that even happen?

Edit. I suppose someone could get a bargain here as the dealer quite clearly doesn’t know what he has!

There is no certainty in future values but assume at current price levels (£80-120k), as we have seen with QPV GTS, Strads, etc, there isn't too much depreciation left? Fuel burns at 13mpg I hear but was the servicing etc expensive?

Mine was newer and covered by service pack......

That is lovely and very rare I imagine and I am a sucker for a red car tbh. But is it 10k special over my car though? No skyhook and a higher bhp of 20hp. Not interested in resale value so I could just respray mine and save.

I can’t get my head around the GTS in red. Not sure if it’s the shade or whether I can’t make up my mind if it suits it.
