I agree:)
I am 7 miles short of ticking over to 40k and every mile has been amazing.
Would be using it more but I don’t have anywhere to go....

glad this sold too! I know mine has lots more miles but still makes me more comfortable with what I paid, but I plan on keeping it along time - it’s just my head that hates over paying for anything!

Hi All,
I have just joined the forum, although been reading for some time now.
I watched with interest this thread about the Dick Lovett GTS. I have been looking for a QP mk5 GTS for years but finally got round to pressing the Buy button (too much lockdown trawling I think).

I purchased this from Dick Lovett about 3 weeks ago (see image below).
I have to say in reply to some of the comments in this thread, that yes I did pay over the odds for it, but I consoled myself with the fact that we haven't had a holiday for over a year, and I figured that I'd saved more than the difference to what I should have paid!

I would like to put your minds at rest that this will get used! I imagine that I will do around 3-4k a year in it, which as was pointed out will still be a low mileage car in 5 years time.
Anyway, enough rambling. I look forward to participating in this forum, it looks a great place to be for advice and opinions.

Enjoy your stunning car Tomo. One of the best car Maserati has made in the last 20 years for me.

Beautiful car – must be quite something owning a car so famous on Youtube?

Welcome to the forum. I must say, to me anyway, the facelift GTS is a fine looking car.

Hi @Nayf, yes, having watched Harry's YouTube (many times) it sort of swayed me, and like all of you mentioned in the thread, it quickly became apparent that this was that car.
I did an HPI prior to purchasing it, showing that it was registered with RO02 UGE from 8/6/2019 - 16/11/2019. Whether this is actually Harry owning the car during this period I don't know.

@dickygrace , @Zep , thanks for your welcomings. I wasn't sure whether to first post on the Newbie part or just go straight in with this thread.
I will definately be active here though, since I will be looking for some recommendations in the coming months, from what are clearly a knowledgeable group.

Tomo, I had mine for nearly three years and thoroughly enjoyed it. The memories far outweigh the £24k depreciation and I will have another one day. Good ones seem rare so you did not overpay and I bet you will lose less than I did over the same period. If you use it in anything but summer weather, you really need Michelin Pilot Sports if it is still on Pirellis. Mine was transformed. Only drive it in Sport mode too! Enjoy.

Brilliant car at a premium price! I hope you enjoy your QPV GT S.

Well, apart from Mark, with his model number COD.

Speaking of this, I have been trying to figure out the DVLA's registrations database, but it is an absurd mess where the same 'model name' is used for IV V and 6 variants. So you see the total number of a 'model' goes down and then up again. I have had to give up trying to make sense of it.

well done Tomo it’s a lovely car & price is irrelevant if it’s a keeper. I bought my 2008 Gts after watching Harry’s video so make sure you enjoy it.
Ps. as previously mentioned if it’s on P zeros change to Michelin pilot 4s as it’s totally transformed my car.

Thanks for the advice ...... currently is has four (pretty much new) Pirellis on, so I am sure that I will wear these out fairly quickly, then I will definitely try the Michelins.

Out of interest, and trying to understand the model a bit more, I emailed Maserati Customer Support. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that they replied very quickly and tried as best they could with information. What I did glean was that there were 1749 mk5 (M139) GT S Quattroporte's produced; the one I have was # 1162 off the production line.

It seems surprising to me that there might be 587 GT S Quattoportes that are newer than yours out there!

That’s worldwide though. Maybe other counties sold them a little longer than the UK?

We know there were only about 60 sold here and this was the last one registered in the uk.

Forgot to mention if you’re not driving it regularly make sure you have it on a trickle charge my car has had a new S5 Bosch & after 2 weeks started all sorts of issues with easy entry door-locks/boot not opening.
if I keep it on charge no issues at all.
