Next step is giving them away for winter...
‘Buy Pirelli P-Zeros ready for winter and receive up to £60 in undertaker’s vouchers.’

Continuing my contrarian stance on the PZeros, have to say they have been coping very well with the cold and slippery weather we have been having for the past 7 days or so. I have not taken the car out since it snowed three inches on Sunday but have to say I felt little need for compromise driving around in the days before. Going to take her out this afternoon and see how bad they perform on properly icy roads.

Where are you? I will tip off the emergency services and tow company. ;)

I might have to eat my words and move away from being a Pirelli hater, when the RR needed new tyres earlier in the year the only decent brand available quickly were Pirelli Scorpion ATRs is against my better judgement they were fitted. As summer tyres they have been fine, good grip and they seem to be wearing pretty well but the recent spell cold weather has made them really shine. They cut through the cold frost easily, finding grip where the old Goodyear tyres would just float over the top, they have a real feel of sure footedness which is very reassuring regardless how cold it's gets.

Still won't be fitting P-Zeros but for a 4x4 the Scorpions are extremely good

Despite being a Pirelli loather I also had a similar experience with my RR. The only 22" tyres available at the time were Pirelli Scorpion Verde, which I had fitted with huge trepidation. They were absolutely fine throughout all conditions I drove on them, at least as good as the Continental Cross Contacts I'd always fitted before. I don't recall their winter performance so can only assume they were up to the job. The biggest benefit I found was that they wore far less on the shoulders than the Contis.

My Stelvio came with a brand new set of Scorpion Verdes fitted. I've found them to be less good on this car and changed to Uniroyal RainSport 5s when the fronts needed replacement recently. So far I find the Uniroyals more sure-footed, they don't skip on full lock and don't let go like the Pirellis on wet/greasy corners. Perhaps they're just better on different cars? I won't be buying any more!

Had Scorpion Verde on my RR too. I think they are the tyre of choice for the LR crew.
PZero Corsa on a wet cold road however, tones the butt cheeks quite well. No nutcrackers required for Christmas......

Hi to the PZero detractors, I did go out this afternoon on the icy roads. 40 mile round trip from north west London to Brent Cross, Hampstead Heath, Royal Free Hospital and various stops in Kensington, Hammersmith and then home with a full tank of petrol after filling up. Lots of steep hills and descents. Apart from engaging I.C.E. mode, drove the car with little adjustment - she drove beautifully.

Those who know my posting, know I’m a mild mannered forum member but honestly i found some of your PZero p!sstakes laughable and irritating in equal measure because I do hate pile-ons.

Anyhow the PZeros were just fine and my QP was as pleasurable to drive as in any normal day’s driving. As I posted earlier, it may be that I have the new gen PZeros or whatever, but I really don’t care about making the case for them anymore to the piler onners…

Took some pics along the way for the doubters… the last pic cornering a regular bend at my normal speed…

Explains the long gap between your posts...like, what, 14 hours to do 40 miles...?

In all seriousness, glad you're still on the right side of the AstroTurf!

I'm not a Pirelli hater just have had issues solely with PZero's in the UK climate for half the year. I've also had Pirelli SUV tyres and been very impressed with them.
