still intrigued on what part the OP's mate was talking about or is it top secret
A number of years ago my wife took her car to have a puncture repair, they said it needed replacing and recommended changing the other side as that was not much better and changed them both.
She rang me to tell me and I was suspicious so I told her to get them to put both old tyres in the boot.
They then said the fitter had made a mistake and they refunded her (left the new tyres on), I never did get the old tyres and we have never been back.
I forgot about boilers especially the old boilers - Ive got one downstairs watching married at first sight at the moment
Yep... does the same for me (in the past).Myles at Emblem keeps every screw and clip for me and it is a great aid when going through what was done to the car (and I assume this is done for every other customer). It is great to have a relationship with a garage where you can also trust their judgement (even if they still do check with you on everything their guidance is appreciated if honest).

lol, only just arrived and causing much mirth already. You'll go far David. Oops, you already have.My wife is likely to need a hip replacement - once this Covid business eases off.
I must remember to ask the surgeon to show us the original before we pay his bill.
I may be reaching. However, I believe this to be an oxymoron.I think this is a legitimate concern, although I'm sure most garages are pretty honest.
Having been a technician/mechanic for over 40 years I'm honest and have been a professional witness in court against a Main Dealer and was praised by the Judge for my honesty and professionalism.I may be reaching. However, I believe this to be an oxymoron.
In all seriousness Mark, I'm sure that most garages are as bent as a banana.
A very clever chap is about to say. If you want to go looking for crooks. Look in unregulated businesses.
