I don't think you guys in the UK should ever complain about the state of your roads - the reality here in SA is bad and the QP has been bruised.....

For some reason the spare didn't want to inflate with the compressor, but fortunately there was a tyre place a block away and I got it pumped. Still looked like a knob carrying a spare tyre around in my smart clothes. One wag at the traffic light: "Nice rim - is it for sale?"

I suggest you guys go to the trouble of inflating your spare to check that it seats properly.

Oouch, sorry to see that Grant. Good for you that you were carrying a spare, very few of us here do especially those of us with GTs & 20" rims as the road wheel is too damned big to fit in the boot!
I hope the cost of the replacement wheel is not too painful

I could probably get it repaired, but I reckon this is going to be expensive, so I'll probably put in an insurance claim and then lodge a further claim for the excess with the council.

I just wish they'd fix the fecking roads. Opposition took power from the ANC six month ago already and no difference.
