Ouch that's bad!! Think the mileage is too low for Dan's and last I heard it was in the shop to have the gearbox whine sorted.

How you feeling Loz? Better I hope?

Yep, mine's in the workshop having a new gear box... So I hope it's not mine!!!

Looks a bit of a mess that one, and £93k to repair! Blimey.

Possible that SM could end up with beautifully polished members with fragrant and relaxed cars.

hahaha! - perhaps I should have chosen my words more carefully. (I'll resist the temptation to make a lewd comment about most of us preferring to buff our own beasts rather have a group of east Europeans do it.)

How come ???

Because it's broken.

There was a whine from a bearing in the 'box somewhere and the solution was to swap the entire 'box.
Fortunately it's covered under the warranty. Should be back by the end of the week.

Dan, as per the OP, I think I know where there's a cheap gearbox going. :D

On the tread topic (sorry to be boring) I thought these were a composite body including the roof but the photos clearly show crumpled metal in most places!

I think it would probably be best off made into a track day car surely?
