Andy be good to see how the old school V6 compares against the newer JTD?

Apparently it's not as cut and dry as you might think. I was speaking to a guy at Ace cafe a few months back and a chipped JTD hugged the back of a GTA all the way round a track. he could not shake it. Mine is standard 150hp but goes like stink, will be interesting to see how it does against the thoroughbred!

To be faIr the GTV has the power but the GT has the brakes and chassis.

If Adrian Newey owned it, I bet it has some very tastey modifications done to it. You can rest knowing it will have been maintained well beyond most mortal mens capabilities.... I am sure he will have maintained things most of us didn't know needed manitaining or would make a difference....

As you can guess Adrian Newey is one of my hero's.... have you noticed over the years that when he changes teams,,, they normally improve drastically in the next 2 seasons...

Ozzie..

Matt, as I stated on other threads I think you will be suprised how you GT performs its a quick torquey engine I believe and will be pretty good at Llandow............The GTV is old school now and needs a number of upgrades to be good on track.......Mine handle pretty flat and seems to be well sorted it also has upgraded discs at the front but its still a heavy car even though it's only small.....Would be great to hear your thought after going in both...

Andy quite happy to have a couple of laps in each others, observing the: "you bend it, you buy it" gentlemans agreement?

Mine is going in for cambelt on Friday, she is coming up on 4 years old and 28k miles so I think it's prudent to get its first one done especially what with the abuse it's going to get next week.

Thinking back to my 3.2 GTV days it handled very well and had bags more top end power but the brakes were not up to much.

If I was to buy another that would be the first thing I would spend on it.

Sure, it applies both ways on a handshake.
