not getting involved if its a merc thread, dont like them, only s l amg or c l amg not these, as for the m3 has to be dsg, anyone who ever drove one will tell you, also has to have the electrinic suspension option cars without aint worth buying, its like the manual f430 they worth nothing compared to the f1, thats when driving a ferrari comes into it, fact is the 458 is not coming with manual box speaks for itself

The fact Ferrari are not offering a Manual 458 is hardly anyone chose the manual F430 because to many lazy/play boys got their hands on them, when you speak to the real enthusiasts, they chose the Manual.

no no adam we have to disagree on this my man, the whole point of the ferrari experience in these cars is the f1 not the manual, look at porsche system or audi r tronic, noone buys r8 without it and if they do its worth less, even smarts have auto gearbox its moving forward, the only cars that have to be manual are upto 2004 after that its flappy all the way, is there a manual granturismo? a bentley gt? the lp560 is not coming out manual neither is the new mclaren, cars like lotus ye they do a good manual but not these proper performance, enzo, mclaren slr, murci

Also Andy, the location where you took pics of your M5, have Evo magazine used that as a phot spot before? this image rings a bell.

Yes the slip way uner the servern bridge..EVO and Autocar have used it in the past...Not the place above though.

oy oy andy im hurt, i love bms, only a bmw would get me away from the italian, m3 e30 or m3 e90, but i had an m5 like yours for 4 weeks while a friend of mine went away and wanted me to sell it for him, glad you got one as i want to ask you, does it feel the same power as the maser? i went 1k in 4 weeks i was thinking it was the same, went from car to car but could not separate

Sorry Dem, wouldn't dream of hurting you......It's hard as I can nan drive back to back but mine is a W and my 3200 was a W and I would say from memory than the M5 is quicker.....I think thats because it puts the power dwon better and is an easier car to drive..Can still be a challenge though. Plus it has 400BHP so a bit more power than the 4200. The M5 loves to get it's rear end out and is so easy tp power slide..It just seems to love it. The other difference is that the M5 seems to shrink around you and feel more like a 3 series in size when pushing on....My 3200 never felt like that...But then the 3200is so special from the drivers seat and looks so much better from the outside.

Adam, I think its best if we stick to an Italian theme here. The only reason Lambo (not being owned by Fiat) got on here was because Gring sold his Maz and bought one.

All this sort of stuff is fine in the Non Maserati section.

Talking of M5's...I just read that production of the M6 has now ended..Now if you like this car or not doesn't matter but what does is that this is the end of the line for BMW's V10 engine and as far as I'm concerned the world is not a better place with out this stunning engine.....All future M car engines will be down sized and turbo charged..Bloody greens....

i asked today andy, i was in sytners and they said the new m5 will have the v8 turbo, that v10 was amazing was hoping they would have made that r8 ruval the m1 to show them but cant see it
