Saw that little Arbarth up at Auto-Alfa again on Friday. It's utterly *tiny* even compared to an Alfa Spider.

Spyder out today for a good run - neglected for a few weeks as I have been running around in the DS with fixed drive shafts. Chalk and cheese comparison plus some sourdough rye bread from our favourite DE discounter in Tidworth. Spyder in the sun, nice bread, my house rules (Wee Woman freezing on the Camino) all is well with the world.

This maybe a stupid question but why is there a screen on the bonnet? Beautiful car!!

Perhaps to aid airflow from the bonnet vents behind it?

I think it was a short lived trend to protect the windscreen from debris damage/bird strikes/mud and oil.

Should be fairly straightforward to remove it?

It helps to keeps flys etc off the screen. Especially popular on long distance race cars. As windscreen washers were introduced it started to become redundant

A lot of Italians of this era had them, the Giulietta / Giulia SS had them a bit further back which was to smooth airflow over the screen / wipers they were all into airflow

For a milli second thought it was mine but I didn't recognise the parking spot. On closer inspection I notice you have the paler seats like this one
