I don’t think so. Last auction result I can find was in 2014 for 4.6m, I reckon you’ll be looking at more than double that for one now.


Make your own for less.

Millar bought a load of parts so the 250f he made had original engines, gearbox, axles, some had original frames etc.

You’d be looking at close to £1m to make one I reckon it’s all the castings that’ll make it so expensive to do. It’s not like a Cobra or GT40 where the stuff is already out there.

Good lord! I'm going to Italy later this month or early next month to get the details (chassis numbers etc) of a 250F which is owned by a friend. His father owned it for 25-30 years keeping it in a barn.
It has a racing history as well and painted in white.

I’m not sure how many of the original 26 250f cars built still exist, but it’s not many. An original “barn find” with racing history has to be £5m or so, surely? Especially if driven by Moss and/or Fangio.

I talking about making your own replica as one member did about 10 years ago...road legal too.
