And in total contrast to the lovely Urraco....

Fond memories of both. Had a go in my friend’s Urraco and found it handled beautifully, but was too slow. Had to rev its nuts off to make any proper progress - not something I enjoy after years of coaxing old cars along.
The dark green Austin 1100 my brother bought for £30 in a pub served us both very well. I use it to drive from Northants to Liverpool in my uni days. Had two cats - one sat on my lap for each journey and the other balanced on the tunnel behind the seats which the exhaust pipe sat close beneath. Surprisingly comfortable, if a little bouncy, ride.
The locals fancied it too - broken into many times and had to open the doors with a screwdriver after replacing too many locks. Learnt to remove the rotor arm every time I parked.
Last memory was changing the clutch master cylinder with my brother on a friend’s front lawn then flogging it for £120. Result.
