You jest, but I had a job at a supermarket once and we had company-supplied safety footwear that came with a little plastic tread depth checker and we were supposed to check regularly and ask for a replacement pair of shoes when the depth got to a certain point on the little checker.

This may be commonplace now but at the time, everyone I told and showed thought it was the silliest thing they'd ever seen!

Yes it’s roadgoing legal and has a 2 litre AR engine. Huge list of upgrades and mods so not for the purist but what a drive. Sounds fab too!
