I was walking down the street when i saw my mate, he's only got one arm. I said "where are you going?" he said "I'm off to change a lightbulb." I said "how can you do that you've only got one arm?" He said "I've got the receipt.

Fuming....First day of the pubs opening.....I was sat at my table and got hit on the back of the head by a prawn cocktail....

Look around and this bloke shouts...'That's just for starters'...

It certainly was and I have had both my last one being a Daimler XJC but now I'm fancying another saloon like the picture above.
The Coupe was built on the series 1car.
Always loved them. There used be an old West Indian guy here in Birmingham who had a Jag repair and breakers called Kingston Motors. He always had a couple in there. With everflex roofs I seem to recall.

Was that the one just down from the Blues ground on Bordseley Green?

All this talk of old Jags makes me realise I should've kept my '73 S2 4.2 manual XJ....

Easily the smoothest car I've ever driven, once I'd spent about £3k freshening up the suspension and a few other bits as before I bought it, it had been sat around not being used for a couple of years. Snicking it into overdrive was pure pleasure..!
