The brown Interceptor from the show still exists and is being restored, along with another Interceptor (in silver) which appeared in a couple of episodes and belonged to Gerry Anderson's business partner Reg Hill.
Every morning from 1971 (aged 4) I walked with mum to school and after watching the red/white hot steel run through rollers at the foundry on Johnson's Bridge my next stop was the factory on the slope. I used to press my head against the gap of the two large wooden doors and could see all the new Interceptors ready to go to their fortunate new owners. It was a good start and end to the school day. Great to know these cars are still going! :)

What a nice memory ;) . Although just 6,500 or so were built the survival rate is pretty good, partly due to the kind of people who bought them brand new and kept them in the family. A nice Mk1 would be the one I'd choose but I'd be happy enough with a decent MII or MkIII...

Tony Curtis had the blue factory demonstrator brought down to Pinewood in 1970, liked it and bought himself a green one which was also brought down to Pinewood for him...
