Our Alpine Adventure 2023

Ah, Passo del Stelvio. That brings back some memories! I did that road in the other direction on a motorcycle several years ago. It's legendary, and for good reason. Though my favourite alpine road circuit is still probably Furka - Grimsel- Susten Pass in Switzerland. Thanks for posting!

Happy memories and well done to RR. Can we get Rob to give a final fuel bill / mileage / mpg? It should keep him quiet for a few hours.

Thanks for your comments all - much more to come. He's currently working on the Timmelsjoch (just west of the Brenner) - and I'm not quite sure what happened to the Umbrail filming he did, but I don't think it quite went to plan so we may just have to re-do:cool:(I think it's all going to side track him from DIY etc duties for some time......). And he does have mpg etc figures broken down - make for interesting reading ;)

Umbrail is up and Timmelsjoch very nearly - it goes on a bit but hard to cut it was that good - and guess who's driving?
MPG - and if you don't want to know, look away now:
Motorway 22, Mountains 14 - Mountains win  (overall average around 18)

I'm being grumbled at for not watching (although I did watch one on a big screen that I drove - terrifying to watch on big screen, but fun to drive) - but then I'm planning next year's adventure :)

Thanks Harry. Well spotted. So PLEASED you commented, it was indeed a lovely drive and the birds were very loud, I was surprised how well they came through on the microphone. Still working my way through our June footage haven't started on the Forum Trip or the rest of Germany yet, so loads more to come........

Some great footage for mountain addicts. Looking forward to future posts!
Sulden/Solda was a lovely drive and should be on YouTube by Xmas. If you visit the channel and subscribe (it’s free) you’ll get a notification when new videos are posted

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the drive along the Val di Solda to Sulden and the Ortler. Seeing your video brought back some fond memories and just a tinge of regret - when we did the journey it was in a rather nasty hire car, sadly lacking the style of a 4200.

Hello again, Happy New to you all.
This video was posted about 3 weeks ago but I forgot to share on the Forum. Apologies if any of you have already seen it. This pass was one of Roary Rati's and my favourites.
In our humble opinion well worth a visit when you're next in the Dolomites. Hope you enjoy....
