Very sorry to hear that Fred, glad it is getting sorted out though, i would grab the swine warmly by the throat if they drove into my QP.

Regarding the rubber neckers, they give looks like that because they know they will never own a car like that, i respect people for buying expensive cars as long as they are not flashy, at the end of the day, they have made a big decision and put their money where there mouth is so fair play to you.

Nothing wrong with one less Corsa on the road, bloody hate Vauxhall's.

Fred - nothing I can add to the sympathy. Sorry for you.

But fair play on the whiplash refusal and general sense of 'these things happen'. Very refreshing.

If only there were another 23m like you on the roads it would be a much better world.

Hope all gets fixed soon.

Fred, was the other driver texting or on the phone or something? Sounds odd that he missed a bright red QP travelling at 20mph!

Funny you say about the loaner being sent back. Years ago, my brother in law has his 550 driven into. The took it away and delivered a silver 550 as loan car. He had a look around it, took it for a short drive and refused the car - told the fella delivering it that it was a nail and not safe to be on the road.

the insurance company rang and were a bit lost for words....."thats the boss' personal car" hahaa....

I kjnow what you mean. Turns out the original car wasn't an easy fix and they gave mne a 59QP basic and in SILVER! What a crock! The temporary C Clkass 250 is better equipped.

I quite enjoyed my E250CDi Sport that I had for a month recently - amazing how long it takes to fix a broken wing mirror and paint a door but that's what the two week Christmas shut down we have these days does for you. The Merc had a cup of coffee showing in the instrument panel for the entire time and I like coffee - nice of them to arrange it.

MK to Heathrow £120? Don't go on the M25 mate, go through Hounslow. Can you drop a package off for me on the way as well? I'll test you the address once the filth have left.

I am gutted for you fred, 6 weeks, virtually no mileage and some ar**hole can't manage to stop? It's not like your invisible, lovely red maserati, he must have had a quick mind freeze at seeing you. Let's hope you have a good body man to put her back together, at least you are all OK that's the main thing, she will come back as good as new.

Fred, looking at the Corsa I would have said you have come of worse as far as cost.....Surely even if the Corsa is a right off it woul d only be worth a grand if that.....Your's must surely cost a few more pennies than that....

Oh cr*p! At least after it is restored you won't feel so bad if it gets a scratch (speaking from experience)... The main thing is you had no injuries. Let us know what the repair bill is please!

Well, the QP that they have given to me, stinks of cigars, the front parking sensor won't turn off and the parking brake seems to have declared independence from the rest of the car. So I've exchanged it and I've got a Porsche Panamera 4S, you know, the stretched beetle. At least the dog can have free rein in the back without me having to worry about the seats. BTW, the repairs have been estimated at a minimum of £27k. I might just take the money and buy 27 Corsas and scrap them, so they stay off the road!

Parisien - No that's straight up. bit of undercar damage, and remember he has admitted full liability, so the sky's the limit, I suppose.
