The facelift cars do look much better IMO. It just needs spacers!
The fact its a little lower helps the stance, but I may well add some spacers in the near future.
I Like the interior, but much prefer the Grigio Neptune wheels vs the later black ones and prefer the pre-facelift front end with fog lamps and quad round pipes vs twin oval ones. Ian Callum once told me designers often get it right first time, then facelifts are done just to distinguish a later car from an earlier one where owners are keen to show they are driving the latest model and keep an older car in production longer.
Both look great cars but is it worth the hit on cost to change via a dealer for just a 2 year newer car? However, if you are happy, then I’m pleased for you!
Vive la difference as they say here!
As you say, it's personal preference. I think the original GT-S is the most 'beautiful' of them all, but the 2012 facelift is more aggressive looking, and for me, is the sweet spot. I also prefer the facelift headlights without the orange and with the DRLs. I don't like the 2018 front at all. The shape of the intakes just don't suit the lines of the car.
Was it worth the hit cost wise? I struggled to justify it. It is only 2 years newer, but does have just over half the mileage of my old one. But more importantly, if I had been lucky enough to be able to spec one of these new, this is pretty much exactly what I would have chose for myself! So, for that reason I went for it, as I don't fancy the chances of another one the same coming along.
Lovely looking interior, it wasn't Scalded Cat, the lady member, was it?
It could well have been. It was the meet where I met you. She was parked right at the end of the row against the wall, pretty much as far away from the cafe as you could get.
