In case anyone else has a faulty oil sender, I fully recommend contacting @Zep to buy one of his modified units.
My oil pressure gauge was always at 5 when the engine was running, I heard about the modified unit so contacted Zep.
For £60 he made a modified unit and posted it to me, along with the welded crows foot spanners. With these tools you can remove the old one and fit the new one without taking the engine apart.
Top work from the forum and @Zep, if you have a faulty gauge, this is a very satisfying fix.
Thanks again Zep!
