Hi V8chimp,

That's an interesting device. I used the UniDiag with the USB to OBDII cable + Fiat 3-pin adaptor and 12V cigarette lighter
cable and laptop which could read codes and clear them.
However, I couldn't handshake my AVG scankit to the cables

Hi MUC3200GT, Could I use KWP71.exe with the cables instead of UniDiag?

Cheers
I bought one of these recently for cars in the household/friends/family.

Tried it on the Alfa so far and connected without problem, did a scan and no faults. However seems like I will be able to clear codes if needed.

Does the 4200 support real-time data through the ODB port? Was wondering if it was worth buying one of the wifi ones just for the geek-heck of it.

Also, any recommendations for hardware/software combinations? I use an iPhone,

When I had mine tested recently, the MOT Centre used the OBD port to get revs on his equipment and other stuff, so it has to be real time..!!

I've an ultragauge.

www.ultra-gauge.com

Works well all real time and customisable what you want to display on each page.
Does far more than I need, only really bought it to check for error codes, but handy to say have a digital readout of engine temp in degree C instead of the analogue dash instrument.

I got one of these:

Does provide real time data to Torque on an Android phone. What it does do, however, is make the gear indicator flash on and off when I tried this. Quite possible that I could work around it, or it was a one off, but I've not got round to fettling yet.

I also have one of these. No problem with the gear indicator but the satnav reaction time slows down so much it becomes unusable.

I thought the satnav was unusable at the best of times ;) I know mine is, as it's eaten Norther France and won't give it back.

Ultragauge lookalike, Chris? If so, let us know.

Ah, no it's a Kiwi 2 lookalike. Probably the Chinese manufacturer of the chips inside selling them at almost cost price in a poor quality case...but if it does the same thing then what the heck?
