Hello All

Just a brief note to introduce myself.

I’ve been an admirer of Maserati since the 1980s when I lived not too far from Meridian in Lyndhurst. I’ve never been fortunate enough to own one, but I’m now starting my search.

Sadly I don’t have any relevant technical knowledge or experience to contribute but I hope to find some way to be an asset to the forum.

I’m looking forward to my Maserati journey!

All good wishes

Welcome. What sort of Maser are you looking for?
Hi! A Sebring, Ghibli or Khamsin….

… in my dreams!! I’ve flirted with the idea of a Granturismo but these days I prefer to drive as if I’m wearing my slippers. So I’m focusing on a 3200 or a Gransport.

I remember seeing the 3200 at Goodwood Festival of Speed when they first appeared. It seemed like a rebirth of the marque at the time. But with 20+ years of hindsight it looks more like the last of the line, perhaps. And what a thrilling end.

But a Gransport seems like a more grown up option (if that means anything in the context of a 400 horsepower weekend toy).

Choices, choices…

I’d say a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti would be the perfect vehicle for wearing slippers in..

Welcome, most of the natives are friendly but I quote
"I don’t have any relevant technical knowledge or experience to contribute" + "I’m focusing on a 3200" = :goodone:
Very fair point. Fortunately I’m roughly equidistant between Sports Italia and the Maserati Shed. So I hope I can call in the big guns when the inevitable happens….

Outrageous! Velvet embroidered loafers are perfect driving shoes in a 612! Comfortable all the way to the yacht in the Med......

Welcome. There have been a few new arrrivals looking at Gransports last few months and one or two cars purchased. Search should reveal threads on their journey and cars they looked at and the short list of best cars currently for sale (and I think it was quite a short list). It is a great choice though and an easier ownership proposition than a 3200 in my opinion (though having said that @dickygrace has just listed a
lovely looking 3200 AC for sale). I have a Gransport for sale but it is an MC-Victory version (again lots of threads on the differences from the standard car on here) and at a different price point. All the best for your search.
