Thats the posh version. The proper clicker remote with a piece of tin that clicked when you pressed the button.Ultrasonic remotes, anyone?

Also changed channel if you clapped your hands. Spares came from a tin of spam with the peel back lid.
Pioneer never made plasmas in 55”I've got two 55" Pioneer plasmas and I can't give them away! Still great tellies but pump out some heat......
These were special....Pioneer never made plasmas in 55”
This I suspect.Bravo to you for wanting to fix it rather than throw it away / recycle it, but I bet you the price of a pint or two the replacement screen will either not be available, or will cost more than you paid for the TV in the first place.
It’s one of the problems with this strange world we live in.
Pretty sure that was still 'ultrasonic'. Had a toy car that did something similar.

J turn reverse or forwards. A bit like a car that can only turn left. You get there in the end but it takes twice as long as needed.
