I am sure this has been for sale for a while as think I have seen before:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-Mase...829099?hash=item2cb2a6ae6b:g:8XkAAOSwzJ5XfApy

Looks nice and although I'm not a fan of blue interiors normally I think this one works OK. Seems decent enough with only downside that it has no Maserati MD or Indy service after Jan 2014. Had an oil service by the sellers local garage in July. Then had variators done by Miglore 2 weeks ago.

Not sure if it is about right on price or not. Just miles away from me!

Has anyone bought a car from Superior Cars or knows anything about them? Or the guys who owns/runs it Steve/Stephen Matthews?

Not keen on the 2 tone interior or the screen hanging down for rear passengers, but I think the price is about right

Is that not the guy who was selling a number of 3200/4200 with high miles this time last year?... his advertising is just on ebay.

Same guy who when a car has been on sale for a while takes it off and then re-advertises normally 2k higher.

I'm not sure to be honest. I know this was up for £18k a few weeks ago and now £19k. However I know why that is now. I spoke to Kevin @ Migliore today about the car. Lovely guy and I'm sure Migliore are a decent outfit and do a good honest job. They came across very well. The seller has had to have the variators done which Migliore have done. This was after a buyer was keen on the car but dropped out maybe due to the variators issue then the battery went flat and maybe he got cold feet.

I have been in contact with Superior Cars but I really need to sell the XJ or the 4200/GS first. I am not sure I will get an 8th car past the missus!! I keep parking them in different places at home to split them up. A couple under outdoor covers by the workshop that you can't see. Two in the garage and one at my brothers place for sale so I might be able to swing it ;)

I think the blue QP @ Superior needs to be a bit cheaper but I guess he has been caught by the variator cost so that has hit his profit i should imagine.

Unless he bought it very cheap I'd think it's wiped any profit out plus he's responsible for every hiccup for 30 days, possibly 6 months

I'm surprised any used car dealer wants to sell fragile cars at all

I agree. When I spoke to Kevin @ Migliore today about the car as they had done the variator mod he said the same. They stick to maintenance/servicing and stay away from sales. I guess it is OK if you buy the cars cheap enough and make sure you have plenty of margin but even then some you will win and some you will lose. I can't see that this one will have much money in now but that isn't my problem really. It is hard but the car is only worth what the market will pay for it.

I was going to start looking for a Sport GT as the ideal model but I don't mind this one. It is not perfect and the wooden wheel I'm not sure about but that could be changed. I think now it is whether it is too much money. It wasn't sold when it was up at £18k although a deal was nearly done the deal fell through as the buyer dropped out.

The trade value on this car is £11,220-£13,250! I think it is worth £17k tops. Anyone any thoughts on price?

I can't see that it has the paddle shifters either. It is not standard I don't think but some have them as an option. I think it is good to have them to give you the best of both worlds.

Can you shift the gears manually via the centre stick or is it just not an option to manually shift on a ZF with no paddle option?

I know someone who bought a 50k miles full auto recently, same colour, for £15k. I think £17k is too much.

Wow that sounds cheap. I thought £17k from a dealer/trader was OK and a fair price. Seems possibly not.

Was that an Executive GT or a standard base model do you know? There is no link to the ad of the car they bought is there? Was that private or dealer?

I thought you sold it? Guy from Stoke?

So did I! Fell out of bed as he wanted too much money on his XF trade in. People sometimes are a little unrealistic as I am sure you know. We were close but not close enough. I couldn't let it go for what he wanted to pay.
