Hi Sharky,

Welcome. There are many knowledgable and enthusiastic Gransport owners on this site who are well placed to advise you.

Best wishes,

Paul

PS Many years ago I had a friend with a Benelli 125 two stroke. It was a twin and remarkably quick for its cylinder capacity.

Enzo,i saw one today at ADG but am concerned at their reputation......also the blue anniverary edition(no2 of 90) had curbed ball polished alloys, and when i questioned the salesman about it he said 2 specialist companies had advised him that they could not be refurbed???????????????

Ahhh, ADG...yes, has been a lot written about them,
I have not had any dealings with them, so can't really comment.
I did go and see Giallo who are on the same site about a year and a half ago,
so did have a look round, but that's about it.
Don't know why ball polished alloys can't be re-furbished, have not heard that before...
Meridian also have one...

Hi Sharky; I to have found the other site erm... quiet? whereas here it is lively with a serious amount of topic .....slip...page... What about that New Zeland v Ireland game today? :conf4:

I've found this forum to be good humored and the members knowlegable and true to the marque!

As a newby to Maserati ownership I have to say go for it; it is the best choice I've ever made in buying a car - utterly bonlkers decision but I just can't stop smilling every time I drive it...

Hi 66, and welcome to THE Maserati forum ... Hope you enjoy.

Lots written on here about the GS Spyder and Anniversary....If you can get a GS Spyder thats the one to go for as the Anniversary is only a 4200 Spyder in a GS body kit and interior. Same adverts try to sell the Anniversary off as GS and it is not. Anniversary is a bit over priced .... Just my thought.

Love the GS Spyder ... a car that should be very desirable for years to come.

Hi 66 and welcome to the forum. All the best as you search for a GS Spyder that has your name on it. Hope you'll keep us informed of your progress towards Maserati ownership. Regards, Miles.

Welcome Sharky , great that you have eventually arrived at the right place , the premier forum for all things Maserati, we try to make it a fun place to be and enjoy , of course we have the serious side where you can find exactly what information you need on how to run and fix your masser keeping her in tip top shape and economically too if your that way inclined with a spanner , if your not then we have a good list of recommended indies to carry out your work to the highest and reliable standards whilst not breaking the wallet,

First and foremost get a truly independant inspection before you commit to buy , if your buying from ADG and many have had reservations in the past rightly so , then use an an outside inspection , no disrespect to Mathew (Giallo) next door but some would have feelings that such a close working relationship will be biased

Any further questions feel free to ask as and when , certainly we'll look forward to hear about your buying experience and ownership

warm regards loz

Hello mate and welcome. No need to ask us to be gentle, we are a very friendly bunch who enjoy banter but are always on hand to help.

The GS is an amazing car and very, very reliable too. I dont have much knowledge of the Spyder, but do know the 4200 Spyders suffered from really bad scuttle shake, but the GS version was supposed to be much better.

With ADG, go in with your eyes open, and get it checked as Loz recommends. Giallo next door prep the cars for ADG so that is not the place for it to be done, and also get the paint and body checked, looking at all the gaps and an RAC inspection, although not really the best one for this marque, will test the paint and measure its depth....just to be sure.
