welcome phil
I think you are in good company down there in the S.W.
some of the guys are looking to put a meet together for that area so keep your eyes out for details when they are posted and get along if you can.
I'm sure you will enjoy it.

happy motoring

Welcome Phil!
Keep an eye on the events section, there's a SW meet in it's embryonic stage.
Enjoy the car and here's hoping for some good weather to start getting to know it.

Wow, the SW really has the Maser bug, getting a great little following going on down there.

Phil, welcome, and look forward to meeting and chatting with you. We are very relaxed on here, as you can probably see.

As Dan says, keep an eye on the events section and also the Running reports and Technical fixes section, there are step by step guides on how to preform most DIY tasks on your car to save you money.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome and i will be keeping a daily look on the web.
Can't do Llandow due to work comittments but hope that we can have a meet in the south west.
Cheddar Gorge seems to be a regular place for meets and certainly a nice drive up there as i did last sunday.

Hi Phil,

nice to find another one down in this neck of the woods, feels a bit lonely sometimes driving around and not seeing anyone to wave to :)

Hi Phil and welcome to the forum.
Nice to have another Maserati in the SW i will keep my eyes peeled but as is the nature of these cars.... if i blink i may miss you LOL!.

i am Based In Exeter and have a MY2004 Spyder in Light blue metalic.
I frequently drive to taunton and ilminster and salisbury as well as the other SW area but as with most of us very very rarely see another maserati.
I think there is a smallish meet in the offing but we are open to locations for the meets.
I guess we all offer up a venue and see which one we all agree to,same with date.
It will be good to see some of the other members and there pride and joys.(think we should Ban Dan though as his GT-S is gonna make ours look old LOL.....Nah i know...well make him park the other end of the carpark!!) or even better we can all turn up in his car... Sorted!!!

Hi Miles and to everybody else,

What a friendly club to be in.
Im a petrol head best described as going through a mid life chrisis.
My Maserati 4200 Coupe CC is my first italian super car and im well impressed.
I found it on piston heads and bought it on sight it was the first one i looked at mad many people would say especially with 90k on the clock.
The service history was spot on and the last service 3k ago was for 4.6K.
That scared me being in the motor trade myself when customers whinge over a £400 service.
Definately no £99 pound service and mot here and rightfully so.
The guy i bought the car from was a real nice guy with a nice toy collection at home so it was very easy to do a deal.
Kind regards to you alland hope to be meeting many of you.
Phil.

Welcome Phil, was down in Yatton last week paying for Sophies Wedding Car that is based.

We are here in Bristol...and I thought I had the high miles 4200!

Have arranged a few events and if you are quick we still have space for our French Trip 1-3 October [partners welcome] 7 cars at the moment for that one.

There are 5 of us in the greater Bristol area, you make it 6!

Hi Phil, It's great to hear a well looked after high miler has found a good home. I'm on 76K so not far behind you, but the cars been fine (touch wood!) and I'm still smilin' every time I get behind the wheel even after nearly three years of ownership! These cars get in your blood. Cheers, Miles.

Morning Miles and to all of you,
This is the friendliest comunity i have ever encountered so pleased to be part of it.
High milers have always been the way for me as exceptional value and you know they have been used with less chance of gremlins setting in through being laid up.
On inspecting my car on the ramp in my workshop as im a motor engineer its going to be easier to work on than most of the modern fwd rubbish that i work on everyday.
If after just after 5 days parking it outside the garage its going to generate more business.
Happy days,
Phil.

Right guys just completed my first 1000 miles in my 4200 cc and absolutely loving it.
I think i was the only Maserati in Exmouth yesterday and the feel good factor of seeing people stop and look at my car whilst she was parked on the Esplanade in the sunshine just makes my ownership better.
I was wandering if some one could point me in the direction of getting a replacement hand book as the previous owner thought it was in his office but can't find.
I want to find out fuse locations as my interior lights are inop along with the boot and fuel release in the glove box.
I will be at Castle Combe this coming saturday along with my Motor Club Tavern MC for the rally day event supposed to be taking my rally car and have track passes but im going to take my 4200 cc as i don't think my Celica GT4 will be ready and im guessing my Maserati might be the only one unless any of you guys and girls might be going?
Kind regards to you all and looking forward to meeting you all when poss.
Phil.
