Hi All,

I've had my GS 8 months, am the second owner of this car in Australia and am an active member of the maseratioz forum. There are no Maserati specialists in my city so I have to travel 3 hours to Sydney for help. I have have been fighting against an interior fan that goes awol at times.
A long list of parts have been replaced, and it came good for 2 weeks after the air conditioning compressor was replaced. The compressor had seized and a new one was sourced through compressor express out of Hungary.
At least this time it is indicating an error code 75.

Does anyone know what code 75 means?

According to my handy guide:

Brushless motor

That *may* refer to the interior fan. Assuming the GS is like the 4200 in this respect, there's a multiway connector above the fuesbox cover, just under the dashboard. These seem to be a tad under-specced and there have been a couple of incidents (mine and one other) where the connection appears good but in fact is not, and this causes the fan to stop. Equally there seems to be some kind of POST which checks the fan on start up and even if you fix the connection, it still won't work until a reset.

The other possibility is, I guess, debris in the fan box. There's lots of stuff on how to clear that and the pollen filter.

Of course, given this is Italian, it may also refer to the phase of the moon ;)

Thanks guys,

Following advice from the Australian forum I have replaced the outside temperature sensor, the air cond controls and the pollen filter. There didn't appear to be much debris in the fan. Finally the compressor died, so it has been an expensive chase. I'm not telling my wife how much my Italian mistress really costs.
The loose connection above the fuse box seems very plausible. I think I'll get Lui Ciavattone, my Italian electrician onto it. He rebuilt the starter motor while we had easy access replacing the compressor.

Success at last.
As I had to change a fuse, I pushed and prodded at 2 connectors I found above the fuse box.
One was a flat connector against the firewall with 2 rows of wires.
The other was a round plug closer to the airbag switch.
The interior fan returned.
Other problem is the air bag warning light has returned for the 3rd time. I've had the repairers in Sydney clear the light twice with their SD2/3 ? computer.
Any thoughts?

Good that the fan is sorted :)

Passenger deactivation switch in the glove box is a favourite. It's a generic Fiat / Alfa part and costs about £5. Dead simple to replace, but the SD2 reset will still need doing :(
